QB vs. QB

Now that the new Griz QB is 1-0, I think it is time to start comparing him to Travis Lulay.

Cole Bergquist already has a higher winning % and he is just a freshman! No INT's and commands the offense like a true field general. He is athletic and has the arm to throw any pass needed. We don't yet know about CB bringing a team back to win at the buzzer since he gets the job done in the first half. We will have to wait on this one. He doesn't try to knock out the offensive linemen by hitting them in the back of the head routinely.

(Note to TL this is bad for your running game when the linemen are KO'ed)

Now being fair and balanced lets look at TL's upside.

He does run well and carries a fairly high GPA. He is a good sized kid. He throws the short pass very well and if Gatewood would quit studying so much he could try looking up from a book every now and then to catch one of these passes. TL has some leadership ability, heck he has to since there isn't any on the coaching staff. Wait the one guy they had that took initiative and showed leadership had his business takin away by the DEA.

So in retrospect there is really no comparison Cole Bergquist has got to be considered in the top 5 in the history of the BSC. He should have a day of the year named after him (Preferably a state holiday) I am confidant that before Cole is done with the next 3 years he will surpass TL with a simple playoff victory and possibly a National Championship.

 Quit being so silly! Berquist can do as well as he wants for the rest of the year, but will dun' poop his pants when he gets to Bozeman.

The following was on egriz, written by "Dissin the man" aka LimpKitty...

Grizzle sounds close to the way I feel about the game and how Cole did at ISU. He realy didnt have anything to do with the runs Lex made or the blown coverage on the 1st TD. He missed many recievers that he never checked too and may have capitalized on a few more 1-1 with the deep ball. He is worthy of praise but lets keep a little perspective.

don't worry. Washington will be back in a week or two and your mighty offense will be back in place.

I am perfectly happy saying that the Griz with CB at the helm are going to kick the hell out of us cats in Bozeman. I also hope that Washington gets back in there and plays the way he has, but this won't happen.

Hey I don't post on eGriz, so somebody copied my post and put it there.

Limp-on,
You sound about as intelligent as scats and dumbbac.
Do bright lights and loud colors make you happy too? You dimwits post such meaningless, mindless bullcrap that responding is pointless. I will however provide the following for your reading pleasure. Maybe you can get your mommy to read it to you.

* Travis Lulay, 6-2, 205, Senior, Quarterback, Montana State vs Weber State, Aumsville, Ore.
Lulay led the Bobcats to another comeback win, piling up 425 yards of total offense, scoring twice on fourth-quarter runs and leading a drive in the final seconds that ended with a game-winning field goal as Montana State beat Weber State 27-24 in Big Sky play Saturday at Ogden, Utah. Lulay struggled early, throwing three interceptions ‹ two at the WSU goal line ‹ and finishing just 18-of-41 for 283 yards passing, but he burned the Wildcats repeatedly with his running, carrying the ball 18 times for 142 yards. He scored on runs of 31 yards and one yard in the fourth quarter to turn a 24-10 deficit into a 24-all tie. After a MSU interception and return to the Wildcat 41 with 11 seconds left, Lulay hit Tramaine Murray for 19 yards to set up a game-winning, 39-yard field goal by Jeff Hastings on the final play of the game. He also helped the Bobcats with field position, punting four times for a 44-yard average. It was the sixth fourth-quarter comeback of Lulays stellar career.

Uncle Rico thank you for the nice words.

Nice little article you have there, now why don't you post TL's career W-L record and tell me how good he is?

Didn't think so.

Limp Kitty-here are Lulay's stats.
He is 23-16 in his 3+ years as the Bobcat starter for a win percentage of .589. That's not too bad with 3 of those losses to I-A teams. A better win percentage is .667, Lulay's percentage against the Griz. He's won 2 out of 3 against you and he lit you up last year even though we lost. Here's to 3 out of 4 coming on November 19th. =D^

23-16 IMPRESSIVE

It is amazing you can even act like that is acceptable.

It's better than what we had before. Yeah, we're happy that we can win football games again. But as I said, Lulay is 2-1 against the Griz and he'll be 3-1 come November 19. That's a .750 winning percentage and as any MSU person can, I did the math all by myself.

Man, if CB has another good game Limp will be proclaiming him better than the almight DD himself. unheard of from a GRIZ fan
