horrible fans

Post by whitetrashgriz » Fri Oct 07, 2005 6:26 pm

one thing i notice on these boards is what close-minded, hypocritical posts you can always find. and being a cat fan, and generally not liking the griz, i pride myself in not being an ass just to be an ass. but unfortunately, there are just as many "cat fans" that try to be just as big of tools as some of the griz guys. bearbac is an exception, but for the most part, we can find idiots anywhere. it's just easier for the griz guys to hate the ****** cat fans, and us cat fans hate the griz. even though, many of us can actually talk football, and not be too biased, and just enjoy a little ribbing. i though of this not while reading these posts, but while at the cat game last week. i had to stand next to two of the biggest morons i have ever had to be near. they were football experts. they knew everything. every play the cats ran was horrible. our d sucked. guys dont play as hard as they used to. kramer is an asshole. yada yada yada. long story short, i left at half, went to spectators, and watched the 2nd half in peace. all teams, no matter where have flat out stupid fans!

I hear ya to a degree. You know the old saying, "...a few bad apples..."

We got to the game late and sat on the very north end of the student section. For every one student paying attention to the game, there were ten checking on the opposite sex (fine by me, but come on it's a BOBCAT GAME)or chatting on there cell phone. We gave up at half time and went to Spectator's to cheer with our friends. I'm sure I saw you there? We were in the corner next to the poker machines.

ya rye, we probably did see one another. i came in with the big fat guy. we were the dudes who went straight to the bar for jager and jack 'cause i was annoyed! and i was sitting in the same vicinity as you at the game too. but it wasn't students but just two dummies i couldn't stand. and it just proved it to me why i can't go to cat griz games anymore. i haven't been to one since my freshman year in highschool because if idiot cat fans are this bad, you can only imagine my frustration when i get stuck to some of the jerks that happen to be griz fans!

I sit on the booster side (Gold chairs) and the fans over there are really good. They get frustrated (as we all do) but are very supportive. They don't get as "into it" as the students can but this year they are pretty vocal. One thing for sure, they are very loyal.

tapp,

How far up do you sit in the gold seats?

I'm usually in the very top row, just in front of the glassed-in folks who I don't think like me much because I'm standing up all the time.
