If you think that Bobcat Defense is the same defense we're fielding today... you're not following Bobcat Football close enough...Htowngriz wrote:Speaking of allowing points, how many did UC Davis put up, in YOUR house? Obviously, you must not have seen any of that game. Our D kept us in it the whole first half. It was our O that lost that game for us. The D was on the field for nearly 37 minutes in that game. I don't care who you are or how good your D is, if you are out there for damn near 2/3 of the game and are -3 in the turnover margin, you aren't going to win many games.Htowngriz wrote:Speaking of allowing points, how many did UC Davis put up, in YOUR house? Hey, some of those are darn funny. Too bad none of them are right. Excecpt the part of about Coach Roberta being a bitch.GrizinWashington wrote:Please.think the cats have the edge on offense and defense
And the ref comment? Nice. It's good to start filling that excuse bag early. You've only got two weeks. Might I suggest a few other suggestions:
It was too cold for your California players.
The crowd yelled when you were trying to call a play.
Those mean Grizzly D-ends kept sacking your quarterback.
The scoreboard operator kept putting bigger and bigger numbers next to the Griz, but always left your score at zero.
You had to stay in a cheap hotel and didn't get any sleep because Krames blew the enire travel budget staying in motels for home games.
That number 7 for the Griz kept throwing it over your guys' heads, right to his guys, and wouldn't let you play at all. Not fair!!
You were expecting number 38 to run all over you, so when numbers 20 and 41 did it, you didn't know what to do.
The Griz kept their starting QB in until mid-way through the 2nd quarter.
The guys in maroon kept catching our passes.
That Tuff guy wouldn't even give us a chance to tackle him on punt returns.
And most importantly, Bobby Hauck is just mean to us.
Hope those help. See you in a couple weeks.

Actually maroon & silver have ALWAYS been the school colors at UM, that is why they were changed. Althought I am sure marketing had something to do with it.BobcatOninetails wrote:You should put that in your programs as a recruiting tool.True Boo Griz Fan wrote:You don't get it, do you? If they were ALWAYS the schoold colors how could they ever have changed? Are you the guy who told Kerry to say "I voted for the 87 billion dollars before I voted against it"? Maroon and silver is a much better combination than brown and calf scour yellor.

Actually, that's not quite right. The official colors of UM have always been, and still are, copper, silver, and gold.anacondagriz wrote:Actually maroon & silver have ALWAYS been the school colors at UM, that is why they were changed. Althought I am sure marketing had something to do with it.
Maroon was substituted for copper in uniforms and the school's logo because, back in the day, copper was not available in ink or dye. When UM returned to the maroon uniforms in 1996, it was returning to its old uniform colors, but maroon has never been an official color of the University -- it is merely a substitute for copper.

That's right. True Griz fans like me (since December 2001) and grizlover (since 2 days ago) are the true representatives of the Griz Nation - like our counterparts Swilly, Born2BeGriz, EastCoastGriz, Savage, Htwongriz and BillingGriz. As I mentioned before, we have a whole list of things to work on for this board. One of them being statements like this. No credit for the wins, but we will continue to remind of the loses. I'm here to support this exceptional effort.Maybe the Griz should play a powerhouse like Chadron State...yuk..yuk..yuk....and the Cats can play a real team like CP....

As far as not getting in the peace corp? No thanks. I feel like Cartman on South Park does when it comes to hippies & 3rd world countries.
