I've said that in other posts about the Cats being the best team in the state but the Griz fans always steer it back to the Al Bundy days of the '90s, the playoff games, the NC appearances, and every other memory of something in the past.
STREETCAT, that post will never make sense to any Griz fan as living in the present for them is an exercise in torture.

So I guess by this rational Chadron is the best team in the state? C'mon. If it were all about one game, why don't we just PLAY one game?? You're delusional if you think that you can determine the best team in the state by who wins the Brawl. Best on that day, certainly. But the best? Hardly. To be the best, you have to win 9 conference championships in a row. And please don't bring that "living in the past weak-a** smack, because last I looked, that was a current streak.

Let's see...
1. Two I-AA teams in the state
2. Last meeting, MSU wins.
Griz are the best team in the state as espoused by the Griz. Cats are the best team in the state as espoused by umm... oh...
everybody else.

Are you serious?? Post a poll on AGS and see who people around the country feel the better team is. Go ahead. Let's see if you really believe what you posted.

grizzin- i respect most of your posts. but this one simply makes no sense. are you really saying that the head-to-head matchup between the cats and the griz is not a good barometer, but rather who has the most confernece championships in a row? you do. so, like you said, why do we even play the game? do you really believe that in the three wins that the cats have had against the griz lately, that every year the griz had the better team? and if so...is it because of the confernece championships? i guess i'm just one to believe that every season is new, and every team has a shot at the title. clearly, the rest of the big sky, no matter how many wins they have, or how many times they beat the griz, will just keep battling eachother for the next 6 or 7 years until we catch the mighty griz.

sorry.....we agree to disagree on this one!
do you have to know everything to post here? or just think you do?

Yeah. When the Griz can't beat you, we will pick on you for some other loss - even if you beat a DI team this year!

Don't think any of those games were blow-outs, but whatever. Regarding Chadron State... they are very, very good for a DII. I still think we should have beaten them and I'm very confident that we would beat them if we played today, but they are good.
Great time to be a BOBCAT!

No, I'm sorry .. Chadron is in Nebraska

And please, if one team beats a team straight up head to head (3/4) and then 4/5 yes they are the best team in the state. If it was once in the last 5 years you couldn't say that, but if it goes to 4 out of 5 yes MSU is the best team in the state.

Yeah, that game was a lot closer today by the score then it really played out. Besides we were ranked #3 in the nation before that game, so rankings and a playoff game cancel out the loss.

I didn't say it did cancel out the loss, I hated seeing us lose that game. All I said was 45-0 would generally be considered a blow-out, whereas 16-6 wouldn't. Next time you decide to butt into something true boo, try to come better prepared.

Swilly (sorry I forgot to use your "nice guy" name Htowngriz), you are 100% correct in that score is the only indication of how close the game was. You da man!

If you were so much better than us last year, why didn't you put up more than 16? No, score isn't the only indication of how close games are, but it is pretty important.

I guess you must have had a national championship appearance and several playoff victories the past five years that none of us knew about?
