I can't help myself; I get so disgusted with the sixty or so "major" schools that won't leave their friendly confines to go "anytime, anyplace" to play the rest of the schools and if they do, they have to have one of their conferences officiating crews...Man, don't get me started...(like they say in the South

Just out of curiousity, how much has the SEC travelled in recent years to out of conference opponents that might be classified as "major"?

Don't take my opinion of the "major" schools as fact--check out every "BIG" school's nonconference schedule for the last few years. Oh yeah, we're talking big-time nonconference foes  And to think we have folks in power that don't want us to play a 12 game schedule because of the playoffs...You know, all the money those 16 teams will bring to small college football  The overhead of the travel involved eats up all the "profit" so we're better off not making the playoffs if we're sent on the road  Anyway, have a good one.
