Ha! Remember when they were on our backs for doubting Hauck. How the tables turn. But, I must say I think this attitude is promising... it's the only way to get the program you want.

Or do you have the players? How many could start for the Griz. (I count 6) How many do you count? 6/24 (I'm counting kickers) so 25%.
Jagr, you are going to look like a real horse's ass come this Saturday.

I've come up with a real good idea. You keep your guys, we'll keep our guys, and we'll kick the $hit out of your entire team this weekend.

Gatewood and Talmage is a wash, IMO. Both good leaders, good route-runners, both streaky-dropsy.

Ferriter, Bagley, Troxel, despite their youth, far outshine Murray, Guinn, and... whoever else comprises the rest of the Slippery-Hand Gang.

Groves, at this point, is comparable to our third-string guy, Brady Green. He's had a couple decent games, nothing stellar. Waller is a far better back, not to even mention Hilliard.

O-lines, I'd give the edge to the Griz, but maybe that's just because Lulay squirts out so much and is so mobile that it presents challenges for blocking. Call it even.

On defense, there's Marudas. After having seen him play, I think he'd get time with the Griz, but don't know if he'd take a starting job. It's a pretty deep group we've got.

So yeah, I'm with Jah. You take your guys, and I'll go with ours and enjoy the playoffs.
You'd pass on Papich? Lowe? and Daly? FUN. We've keep them all and call it good. You'll be wishing for these guys in the next 3 years as they dominate ( minus Lowe who graduates sooner) Frizzle Offensive peeps.

seeharg calls these 2 a "wash"? ONLY if you're a griz fan.

Further, the "3 Amigos" listed for both teams, Ferriter, Troxel, and Bagley for the Griz, Murray, Miller, and Guinn for the Cats, compare as follows:

_________________________Receptions________Yards________TDs

Griz "3 Amigos"________________73____________712_________2

Bobcat "3 Amigos"______________93___________1303_________8

Again, ONLY a griz fan would look at those two trios and say the Griz are better here.

seeharg is another fine example of the blind, pathetic sect of griz fans; "don't bother me with the stats, they're Griz players! They MUST be better than the Cats!"

Are there areas where the Griz ARE better than the Cats? Obviously; but CERTAINLY NOT at wide receiver. Sometimes, seeharg, it does pay to actually look at the stats before you post...

yes, but I think Talmage has missed some time due to injury, so I figured that was a "wash"...

Maybe THAT'S what seeharg meant?

You suppose?

quite possibly but using griz logic you should have credited gatewood with somthing like....30 more receptions and like 1000 more yards

i am typing this assumeing that you...elgato...have gotten out of your funk and that talmage has missed approx 1 game because of injury but then again my mind is fuzzy about that

Are you kidding me Papich and Lowe. We've got Murphy, Bierman, and Dlouhy.

Daly? We've got Utterback, Hawthorne, Ryan, Forman, and Joyce. And True Frosh Lebsock.

Get it together man.

Jah,

In all fairness, Daly has more tackles than 4 of the 6 guys you mentioned, plus he has more "big plays" (tackles for loss) than those 4 combined. Again, I think you HAVE to honestly rank Daly's play well ahead of Utterback (injured, yes; but we're talking THIS season, I believe), Forman, Hawthorne, and Lebsock.

Personally, if I needed 6 LB's from our 2 squads, I'd take Joyce, Ryan, Mollohan, Daly, King, and Marudas.

I'm not really a big stats guy in some cases. For one, when you have a D full of guys who are playmakers, one or two guys can't get all the tackles. Add to that the fact that the Griz platoon a ton, that spreads out the number of tackles across more players.
I do agree regarding Utterback, considering he hasn't played much this year, so in some ways he isn't completely proven. He plays a bit out of control, but is so fast and strong, and smart, that given a touch more experience he will be very good, if not already. Utterback will be a good one and is basically only a pup experience wise.

I think it comes down to this; both teams have quality athletes, and in some cases they are too close to call. When that is the case, both sides will go with who they know and have seen more of.

I'd love to see how Lulay would have done playing for the Griz this year. And would have liked to see how Gatewood would have done, Murray too.
I like the speed of the MSU WRs, but I like that we have ours for another 2 to 3 years. So as far as stating difinitive guys I'd like to have seen start for the Griz, Lulay, Gatewood, and possibly Murray on O.

On D, possibly Mollahan and Force.

Not ment as a slight to anyone on either team.
