I love how the comments of a few people get turned into the sentiments of "Griz fans" as a group.mquast53000 wrote:This is not an excuse for our less then great season. This is a reminder that we have some very good athletes on our team that some people didn’t see play. The Griz fans are whiners bc when they lose a game it is not their fault; ie the Griz lost the NC game bc of the turf…

I just want to point out that, while I have read some comments like this on message boards, I think the vast majority of Griz fans would acknowledge that the Griz were simply out-played in the title game. I agree that making excuses like "we lost because of the turf" is whining, but I don't think most Griz fans feel that way.
If you want to know how "Griz fans" feel, maybe you should go to egriz and JMU's discussion forum, and read the pages and pages of posts from Griz fans from immediately after the title game, in which most of us congratulated JMU and acknowledged that they were the better team.

0-4 okay with me
Go Scats Go--Man, you know, I would rather start off my season at 0-4 because of the fact that I was playing some pretty darn good teams, including OKlahoma State, instead of going 4-0 agaist the Sentinel Spartans and the Hellgate Knights. I mean you guys may as well go down to D-II or D-III. That is all the teams besides the Big Sky Conf. that you play. Oh yeah, and if we could all play nine games at home to make up for our being a million $'s in the hole because nobody at that school can count. Come on man, your school sucks......................

Re: 0-4 okay with me
I love how Cat fans keep talking about how "weak" UM's nonconference schedule is next year. I hate to let pesky little things like "facts" cloud your smack talk, but let's look at our schedule game-by-game:poorgriz wrote:Go Scats Go--Man, you know, I would rather start off my season at 0-4 because of the fact that I was playing some pretty darn good teams, including OKlahoma State, instead of going 4-0 agaist the Sentinel Spartans and the Hellgate Knights. 1. Ft. Lewis -- I'll give you that one; they're D-II and weak.
2. Oregon -- Pac 10; they would crush the Cats.
3. Cal Poly -- Good I-AA team; they beat the Cats last year.
4. South Dakota State -- Respectable I-AA team; took the Cats to the wire last year.
In other words, of our four nonconference opponents next year, one is weak, and the other three are probably capable of beating the Cats on any given Saturday. And you're calling our schedule weak? Great logic, Einstein!
Cheers,

I guess since you are lumping all Cat fans together we will do the same for Griz fans. I will assume that all Griz fans are as smart as bearBAC and Scat... GL you will have to change your name to lets say... GrizIbreaktheLaw... That would make more sense considering all Griz fans are idiots…I love how Cat fans keep talking about how "weak" UM's nonconference schedule is next year. Ok, point well taken.mquast53000 wrote:I guess since you are lumping all Cat fans together we will do the same for Griz fans. I will assume that all Griz fans are as smart as bearBAC and Scat... To be fair, though, I have read and heard comments about UM's nonconference schedule from quite a few Cat fans; it's not like poorgriz is the first one who has brought this up. I'll concede that maybe not all Cat fans think this way, but I don't think it was unfair of me to direct my response to a broader base than just the poster I was responding to. Consider my post a response to the argument that UM's schedule is weak, and not an attack on Cat fans in general.

I didn't follow your post... Were you implying that I know nothing, and I would learn the ways of the world by simply sitting down and having a beer with someone? That is Griz sense…jagur1 wrote:mquast53000 you should take a class or something. At least have a beer with wildrat and learn something.

Just as a sidenote, some of the more meaningful learning I have done in my life has taken place over a pint of Guinness at Sean Kelly's and similar establishments. Probably not quite as much as through formal education, but not an insignificant amount.mquast53000 wrote: I didn't follow your post... Grizlaw, that's one of life's rules. The most meaningful "instruction" I ever received was in various officer's clubs while a young, dumb company grade officer
I took those ass chewings to heart and applied their intent to the real world. Kind of miss fellow combat arms discussions...keeps a game in perspective, you know?

So Catbox who you gonna lose to?Hell's Bells wrote:....besides nothing to worry there no qb injuries, cats loose only one game this seasonGo Scats Go wrote:Just keep thinking that way- It will be the Kitties downfall- face it the cats are one QB injury away from 3-8HelenaCat wrote:Great Analysis Gary. I agree with your thoughts exactly. The only thing I would add is that the Cats appear VERY much stronger at QB and WR this year than the griz. Its been a long time since we could say that going into a season.

The o-line wasn’t the problem last year, it was the lack of experience at RB. Now we have some veteran RBs, so we will see a big difference this year. We have a very good o-line, and it will be proven on a number of occasions this coming season.

Ok Im here to apologize. The Montana State Bobcats are the finest football team to ever exist. Travis Lulay is only bettered by Joe Montana and Joe Namath. In fact we should rename him Joe Lulay!!! Coach Krammer is the MAN. I know he is a lifetime .500 coach but thats the past. Lets rename him Bo Krammer in respect to Shembeckler(sp). Your stadium is flatout AWESOME, cant think of a better facility outside of the stadium at Ann Arbor.
What the... I just woke up from a bender and found myself typing.
I guess 2-2 is a push- but of corse to a kittie a tie is a win!!!!
