Seahawks in a tight one. Say 24-23.

If the Seahawk defense can get their motor going like last SB It's tough to see a Patriot win albeit Brady may be more successful in avoiding SEahawk blitzes.
I mostly hope for a competitive game

Did get a competitive game. Seahawks show their true colors at the end. Sherman taught them how to behave after last years game. GO PATRIOTS!!

I don't think patriots fans should be pointing the "classless" finger at any other pro sports franchises. But congrats on the win.

I didn't see what Sherman pulled off this year. After what I think was the worst play call ever I left the room.

It's easy to second-guess a play call that doesn't work. But it's 2nd down, there were only 30 seconds left and Seattle had only 1 timeout left. So they could only afford to run it one time. If they run on second down, and don't score, they have to use their final timeout and then are locked into passing on third and fourth downs.
They elected to throw on 2nd down, then if it's incomplete, you can run on third, use your timeout, and run again on 4th. It wasn't the worst play call ever.

No faith in their OL or BeastMode.
I was happy to see that McEndoo and Cramsey both suggested the right call would have been to give it to Lynch. (On Twitter)

The beauty and the curse of play calling is either you're a genius or an idiot. Had that play worked it would have been brilliant - throw, 'cause everyone in the house is expecting Lynch. Pass and the INT, you're an idiot - shoulda given it to Lynch. That's why they're called Monday morning quarterbacks.

They were in an 8 man box. The hawks had 3 wide outs, thus 6 blockers.

Yep. If they give it to Lynch against the 8 man front and he gets stuffed, or fumbles, everybody would be talking about how arrogant Pete Carroll is for trying to run when the matchup dictated pass.

The whole thing did turn on that 1st int. 27 could not cover Edelman.

The ending reminded of the end of the MSU/Wazzou game. Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

I was more pissed off about that game than yesterday's Super Bowl.

On a semi-related note, does this game tarnish Peyton Manning's legacy even further, at least in big games? Against Denver last year, the Seattle defense looked like a combination of the Steel Curtain of the 70's, the 1985 Bears, and the 2000 Ravens, and they made Manning look like Farhad Azimi (you've gotta be a diehard Cat fan to remember that name). That same defense looked fairly ordinary against Tom Brady this year, and Brady didn't have nearly as many offensive weapons as Manning.

Unfortunately, the Seattle defense got completely decimated in the final couple weeks.
Sherman - Tommy John's
Lane - Broken, Broken Arm
Chancellor - Knee
Thomas III - Dislocated Shoulder
Avril - Concussion
