Re: World Series
Ya, wow what a game! I was happy to see Freese (sp) get a chance to redeem himself after flubbing that fly ball earlier in the game. And boy did he come thru! Triple? to tie it in the 9th, and homer to win it in the 11th.

Yep--unbelievable game last night. Maybe the most entertaining I have ever seen. I'm sure a baseball purist would disagree but for the casual fan it was great.

Re: World Series
Between the Braves epic meltdown that nobody noticed (thanks Red Sox) and the Cats having a great season, I have not been into the playoffs at all this year for baseball. I watched most of the game last night...and damn glad I did! Once Texas went up by 3 in the 6th or 7th, I thought it was done. Great game. Hopefully tonight is a good sequel!

I hear ya. If the Braves aren't playing I usually don't even tune in. By chance I did last night and am glad I did.coachouert wrote:Between the Braves epic meltdown that nobody noticed (thanks Red Sox) and the Cats having a great season, I have not been into the playoffs at all this year for baseball. Chipper is coming back for one last shot at another championship. I predict the braves win close to a 100 games and win the division.
I'd rather be 0-11 than a grizzly.

Re: World Series
As a Cubs fan I REALLY REALLY REALLY don't want the Cardinals to win. Plus the Rangers have never won, so that helps me root for them.
And that had to have been one of the weirdest games I have ever seen last night, with all the errors, and then some of the plays that did work (like Napoli picking off the guy at 3rd base). It's not looking good right now of course...
