One and done. even a blind squirrel finds a nut every now and then.
I have been listening to this crap all nite. My roomie and his sons had to let it be known that the Chiefs made the playoffs. Well, no chit. I happened to catch the news.
Now, I doubt my Seahawks will make the playoffs, and I really don't care. I hate NFL football. I hope they do have a lock out next year. Maybe something good will be on tv on Sunday.

1970 was a long time ago. All the AFC West Championship will get the Chiefs is one more year down the road to Cubtown.

While I harbor no illusions about the Chiefs winning the SB this year, I do think they beat whomever they end up drawing in the first game. It's hard to be KC at Arrowhead.
But more to the point, there cannot be a team in the AFC that looks at Kansas City and isn't very, very fearful of how dominant they may become over the next 6 to 7 years. The Chiefs are extremely young, loaded with top draft picks and obviously well ahead of their assumed development schedule. Couple that with the obvious decline of San Diego, and a couple of other AFC West teams in disarray and I have a feeling there will be plenty of AFC Championship games played in KC over the next half dozen years.

i agree that the chiefs are tough to beat at home. however, i think that is really all they will have. this team was absolutely blessed with playing one of the easiest schedules that i have ever seen in the nfl. granted this isn't their fault as all you can do is play the teams on your schedule and beat them....but it certainly tells a big part of the story.
the numbers are pretty amazing. do you guys know that the chiefs played THREE teams all season that had a winning record?!
chargers at 8-7
jaguars at 8-7
and colts at 9-6
2 of their 10 wins this season were against winning teams. the combined record of the 10 teams they beat is 58-92!
of course, the combined record of the five teams that beat them is 33-42.
winning the division and making the playoffs is really all you can ask for in a team. and who knows...they might catch lightning in a bottle and surprise some people. but in the playoffs they are going to have to play another pretty good team, and the really haven't proved their capable of doing that. when your biggest win of the season is against the 8-7 jags....i wouldn't have the hugest hopes in the playoffs.
but as GIW said, they should get a home game to start so that certainly helps. however, it has been proven over and over again that TEAMS win games, and CROWD SIZE and NOISE do not.

Both the NFL and Seahawks would like to thank you for your undying support

What is it that you want to watch exactly on a Sunday...rhythmic gymnastics? ice dancing? male grooming?

Hockey, NCAA football, anything but NFL. I think NFL and NCAA should switch game days. I miss too many good games by going to all the Cats games. I don't care if I miss nFL games.

Wouldn't you still miss the same games if they switched days? You'd just miss them on Sunday rather than Saturday.

A team that turns it over 10 times all year gives it up 4 times in one quarter. Shhheeeeesh.

ya that was bad. about what i expected though. it's a whole new ball game when you play teams with winning records....
i will say that even though i won some money today...the game was closer than i thought it'd be. the chiefs are coming back around, and i think they'll be a contender in the coming years, but this year they were nothing more than a product of the easiest schedule i have ever seen.
probably better than my vikes though....

Next year's schedule for the Chiefs is brutal. But they're still be the best team in the AFC West, and clearly on the rise.

I don't think there has been a more schizophrenic team in the NFL the past 5 seasons than the Seahawks this season. Where the hell did that performance come from?!!??! The TD run by Lynch was one for the ages... Gayle Sayers type stuff. And they already beat Da Bears this season. Team of Destiny??

No, because I wouldn't be at the Cat game. Oops now I see what you mean. Ok every other team but the Cats and whoever they play should play on Saturday along with the NFL and all other NCAA games should be on Sunday.
Doesn't take me longer than a week or two to figure crap out. I r a hi skool gradi ate.
