Holy crap. John Isner and Nicolas Mahut have just been suspended due to darkness at Wimbledon for the SECOND day with the score at 59-59 in the fifth set. This one set has been going for 7+ hours, which is longer than the previous record for length of an entire match. Crazy!

I play competetive tennis on a USTA team (4.5), and I cannot IMAGINE playing that long, particularly without a service break. I believe they've already set 8 or 9 "all time" records in one match. Think about this: An entire match that essentially goes the distance would be 7-6, 7-6, 6-7, 6-7, 8-6 and totals 66 games. The 5th set of this match is approaching twice an entire match!!! I can't think of anything comparable in any sport.
A true testimate to both players.

The 5th set alone in this match is already longer than any other MATCH in Wimbledon history.
During the final set, Andy Roddick tweeted, "Doesn't anyone need to pee...umpire included??". They finally peed about 8 hours into the set. Just typing that makes me laugh...Eight hours into the SET!!

Wow, that tennis match was even longer than a soccer match seems.
