Billings game to be televised May 8th.
OMAHA, Neb. — The first-ever live national TV broadcast of an Indoor Football League regular season game will be tonight when the Omaha Beef host the Wichita Wild.
The game is being produced by B2 Television with distribution through One World Sports affiliates, which include the Altitude Network, Dish Network and DirecTV. Through those outlets, the game will be available in more than 33 million households and 125 markets.
In Billings, Altitude is on Bresnan cable channel 70, Bresnan HD channel 770 and Dish Network channel 410.
DirecTV subscribers can tune to channel 682 for live coverage.
“Along with Dish Network and DirecTV, the IFL is thrilled to once again work with the Altitude family of networks,” said IFL commissioner Tommy Benizio. “After a very impressive broadcast of the 2009 United Bowl, we are looking forward to again giving millions of additional fans the opportunity to view IFL action live from their living rooms.”
The IFL’s deal with B2 and One World includes five games in the 2010 season, including the Fairbanks at Billings game on Saturday, May 8. Other games include Austin at Corpus Christi on May 23, Chicago at Green Bay on June 19 and the United Bowl championship game on July 17.
Former New York Giants linebacker Gary Reasons will be the featured color analyst during all games. Reasons is a 17-year broadcast veteran with ABC Sports and Fox Sports Net.
Kickoff for tonight’s game is 6 p.m. Mountain time.
