Dammit.
I was hoping none of these "allegations" were true. But according to his website, he admits he "screwed" around.

I was never a fan of Tiger, but hearing this news disappoints me as he's the one carrying the banner for all of golf.

He forgot to keep his putter in his bag.
He shot the big dog up the shoot.
He was night putting....with the deans daughter.
His ball landed in the rough.
He taught that girl that "it's all in the hips"

Hard to figure out how to digest this. Two thoughts on it:
1) He is just human, regardless of how great he is on the course, and is going to make life mistakes just like the rest of us. Should he be held to higher standards just because of who he is? Probably not. His family is hurting right now, and they will hurt for awhile. I hope for at least the kids' sake, the Woods family can work this out.
2) This brings the whole "role model" topic into play. Charles Barkley proclaimed he was not a role model because of his fame on the basketball court. But like it or not, there are thousands of children who look up to these athletes. Even adults idolize them. In Tiger's case, there may be even added pressure because he is an black athlete playing in a predominately and historically ruled white sport. There are countless minorities that have been brought into the game of golf because of what Tiger has accomplished. And now Tiger has provided them with an example oh how not to behave. The black community themselves will admit they have a problem when it comes to fatherhood and the impact it has on young African-American children, especially boys. Bill Cosby has spoke out on this subject for many years. Our children can really get mixed signals from us as adults when it comes to behavior in public and behavior in private. It's frustrating that these mega-superstars get caught up in this, and it will take Tiger some time to reach out to his fans and explain that what he did was wrong.

I was never particularly interested in his personal life before, and I'm no more interested in it now.
If he cheated, and his wife in return bashed his face with a golf club, and they consider it all square now ... good enough for me.

Wow. That's all I can say. The list is growing. There are four verified and a fifth who has not yet been identified but who has sought counsel. A British newspaper has also apparently identified a porn chick and a TV presenter.
I guess I'll start calling his harem The Back Nine
Leno had a good joke about it the other night. Paraphrasing, it was something along the lines of Tiger saying "I'm not perfect."
Leno: Let's see, billionaire athlete (check), world's best golfer (check), having sex with beautiful women (check). What guy in the world doesn't think that is perfect?

Apparently, some enterprising individuals are making a porno about this story. Tiger's Wood.

The Rev. Al Sharpton held a press conference today to blast Tiger Woods for the lack of diversity among his mistresses. Sharpton claims that the lack of African-American women among Woods’ harem will have a negative affect on the black community, specifically young black girls.
“Why is it that a man who calls himself black can’t bring himself to cheat on his wife with a black woman?” said Sharpton, speaking to a group of supporters in Harlem . “What does it say to young black girls everywhere when you pass them over? Shame on you, Tiger Woods. What would your daddy say?”
Sharpton, who has long championed taking black women as mistresses, said that today’s black athletes need to stop neglecting black women when it comes to extramarital affairs, and should follow the examples of positive black role models such as Jesse Jackson and Martin Luther King, Jr., both of whom cheated on their wives with black women. Sharpton also stressed that cheating with African-American women would help the black community financially by giving black girls the chance to sell their stories to tabloids and gossip magazines.
Added Sharpton, “I’m not asking you to not cheat on your wives, I’m just asking you to give back to your own community.”
