Sorry I don't mean to pick on the Raiders fans here. My team is also mentioned in this article as well, but how awesomely bad is your season and organization when a newspaper can fit quotes like this into an article.
The list is not specific to conference, geographic location or system. It includes long-tenured coaches (Jeff Fisher, Titans), first-year coaches (five) and a head coach under investigation for assaulting an assistant coach (Tom Cable, Oakland).
It includes teams with bad records that are shocking (Tennessee), teams with traditionally bad records (Detroit) and teams whose bad records come with built-in comedy/drama (Oakland).

It's strange ... there are a few fans around here who will pipe up to talk about the greatness that is Al Davis. Not many, but a few.
Most Raiders fans are just wishing he's hurry up and die so their nightmare can end.
I enjoy the drama ... it gives the sports talk guys something to talk about that's interesting. It's not like any of the teams around here are going to win much, so drama is all they really have to talk about.

Davis will never die, he is like Mr Burns.
Even if he does kick off he will leave the team to his family and they will keep it f'ed up real good.

It's a good thing they kept Limbaugh out. Wouldn't want the league to get full of weirdies or anything.

If they could legally kick Davis out, I'm sure they would have years ago.

is this for real????
i can get my bobcat jones AND bash my favorite NFL team in one visit??
here it comes...
al davis is by far the worst owner/coach/defensive coordinator/managing general partner in pro sports. he was once great and now he has zero clue how gauge real NFL talent. his recent draft picks are unbelievable/disgusting/laughable. jamracus russell over calvin johnson or adrien peterson?? darius heyward-bey over crabtree?? drafting a kicker (even though he's pretty good) IN THE FIRST ROUND??!! i didn't even mention he traded randy moss for a 4th round pick, who,by the way, didn't even make the 53 man squad this year. al's WORST move (that's a mouthful) was getting rid of gruden, and thus getting rid of gannon or any gannon-like qbs of the future. had he retained gruden, there is NO WAY the once great raiders are in this position. george steinbrenner walked away, why can't al??? this senile prick hasn't had a lucid thought since 1992.

Weird wasn't it? It almost looked like some of them actually CARED about what happens. Gradkowski may not be the best QB in the league, but he brings a little bit more attitude and fire to the offense, which obviously Russell hasn't done this season.
Hopefully they can keep this going this week against the Pokes in Dallas. I'm damn excited to see that ridiculous stadium in person on Thursday! Go Raiders!

our new hope....
Bruce Gradkowski, or as he's referred to by some in raidernation, "Bruce Almighty". we saw some gannon-like flashes on sunday. not too shabby.
i gotta admit, while still a ways away from being a contender, the raiders are a much different team with gradkowski under center. we'll see if Big Al can tolerate winning with a QB not named jamrcus russell.

HA!
That's me scoffing at the thought of Al "I sold the soul of every person I know and will never, ever, ever die because that would make all of Raider Nation happy and I'm the devil incarnate so I can't let that happen" Davis doing something that makes sense. (I made up that nickname...I'm proud of that).
Bruce did look good this last weekend and hopefully they can keep it going. Pretty good chance at a win this weekend against the Redskins and then a tough game against the Donkeys after that. I'll be at the Donkey game cheering with Camp Dawg from section 116, row...1. Sweet ass seats.

first off, i hate you. tell camp dawg to have one on me. (i don't really hate you;just jealous. i am "proud" though)
secondly, i'll bet the farm the raidahs beat the broncos in denver. they seem to play their divisional foes tougher on the road. kinda like a college team we're fond of.

Al better not die ... I've been putting out rumors around town that I have 4.1 speed and hands like super glue, and I've received some feedback suggesting that Al has been convinced to make me his first round draft choice next year ... and he's going to demand that I accept a contract way richer than even my draft position justifies.
It could happen.

And I didn't think things could possibly get any worse for the Raiders.

Worse for them ... but winning the lottery for me!
I'll probably just take the $20M signing bonus and then fake a torn hammy or something and exit quietly into the night. Maybe Hayward-Bey and JaMarcus and I will hang out together at a sports bar and watch the road games (since the home games are always blacked out) and take turns buying rounds for the bar so people won't hurt us.

If you can keep JaMarcus off the field I hope you do get drafted.
