Is it just me or is it a little weird that the Angels celebrate by dumping beer and champagne over a baseball jersey of one of their teammates that was killed by a drunk driver?

Not weird at all. They were celebrating with him in spirit just as he would be in person. Respect toward him more than anything. You celebrate with champagne in baseball. That's it. Nothing wrong with what they did.
