The most unlucky team in the history of the NFL.

Led the whole damn game and got beat by one at the end. Sucks.

I'm not a big Bills fan, but prefer them over the Patriots.

Next up, my Raiders.....................(insert crossed fingers emoticon).

I'm trying to be cautiously optimistic...but the Raiders actually look like a real team so far!

Anytime the Raiders are tied at the half, I'm cautiously optimistic.

Raiders lose by 4 and absolutely got screwed by the overturned TD in the first half. They settled for a FG so there is your 4 point difference. This game should have went to OT--I don't like the Raiders but that call was complete BS, especially since it was ruled a TD on the field.

I saw the TD and went for a beer/pit stop- came back and it had been overturned. I missed the coverage, what happened?

They said he bobbled it--I sure saw it differently, as did Steve Young and both Mike's.

That same type of play happened in the Patriots game. I think it was Watson who caught the ball and as he hit the ground in the endzone he maintained control of the ball. In the Raiders case, the receiver did not maintain control of the ball as it hit the ground.

He had both feet down, then his butt hit the ground, then his arm and the ball hit the ground jarring the ball loose. Isn't it a touchdown when both feet hit? Or certainly when his butt hits the ground? Think of when guys dive for the markers in the corner. Often the ball crosses the plain and then when they hit down (usually out of bounds) the ball comes loose, but since they crossed the plane with possesion its a TD.

Maybe it's just a bad rule and not necessarily a bad call .

he has to come all the way through contact with the ground to complete possession

The difference here is that the running back has possesion of the ball and then breaks the plane of the goaline and this is an instant TD....the reciever enters the endzone without possesion and needs to maintain possesion all the way to the ground.

If that is the rule is seems like a bad one to me. He had possession of the ball and two feet and a hip down...to me that's a catch. The ground shouldn't be able to make that an incompletion just as it can't cause a fumble. IMO As soon as he has possession with two feet down that play should have been over and called at td.

The Raiders can't even have their own thread on Bobcat Nation, they have to use a thread about the Buffalo Bills to talk about their team. It must suck to be a Raiders fan! :D

It not going to suck as bad as being a donkey fan this year :D

I think the rule is that they have to maintain possesion to the ground and IMO we were robbed, the call was that the reciever lost possesion on the way to the ground, the ball moved slightly when he hit the ground but didnt come out until the reciever started to get up, bad call, the rule is ok though.

BTW I liked the old unies last night, both games were pretty cool.
