i think a lot of that has to do with the defenses playing tebow. they know he can't make those throws, so their whole gameplan was to take away the short passes and contain the running game. that is what was so weird about the steelers gameplan. they appeared to do the opposite and they paid.

i just think tebow came in at the right time to be honest. every team he beat had a losing record or .500 at best. he lost to every team he faced with a winning record. and he lost 4 of his last five games which in many fanbases would be calling to lose his job.

i think next year will tell us a lot. maybe he'll shock us all but i think we'll find that he simply doesn't have the game good enough to be a great qb in the nfl. what is he as a starter now....9-7? i don't know but i think it's around there. i predict that after a month or so of football next season he'll have a losing record and he'll finish with a losing record.

this reminds me of last year when some chiefs fans were talking about how awesome they were. i pointed out they played the easiest schedule maybe in the history of the nfl and didn't beat a single team all season with a winning record. they went on to get blasted in the playoffs and were very average this year. (decimated by injuries i admit)

i guess only time will tell. like i said...that steeler game bought him some more time. had he been blasted that game like he was against the pats and the worst defense in the nfl....i don't think elway would have named him the starter entering camp next year. but he played amazing, won his first game in a month...and bought himself some time.

The key for Tebow is that the Broncos will use the offseason and next year as his final audition. If he improves with a whole off-season of coaching (and probably a new OC) and they go to the playoffs again/actually WIN the division he will get to stay for a while. Anything short of a division title and he will most likely be gone.

How do you figure the Pats have the worst defense in the NFL?

sorry. i guess technically the packers had the worst defense. pats were 31st against the pass, 17th against the run, and had the 31st overall defense in the league this season. they were second to last in yards allowed a game at 411 plus. they did toughen up in the redzone however and are middle of the pack as far as points allowed at just over 21. they were 18th in the league there. they were also the 6th most penalized unit in the nfl. they did force some turnovers but almost all of them came late in games when their offense gave them large leads and they could just sit back waiting for the pass.

basically....teams picked apart this unit all year. many qb's had season highs when playing the patriots. but there is no question that BB and the pats know how to make adjustments and they are a different team in the playoffs. but there doesn't seem to be any question that their defense was pretty poor this year.
