Amazing Vikings
Has any team in professional sports disappointed its fans more than the Minnesota Vikings? Maybe they'll come back tonight, but as a long suffering fan I'm programmed to believe that something will go terribly wrong before it's all over.
MSU - 16 team National Champions (most recent 2024); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023).

Try being a Raiders fan.......................
I'm rooting for the Bears, but I'm also a Favre fan, and with a ten point difference right now anything is possible.

Gladly. It's always nice to have some history fall back on when times are tough.GOKATS wrote:Try being a Raiders fan.......................![]()

Ahhh, leave it to the Vikes. Come all the way back (would've won had they made the XP earlier), get it to OT, get a missed FG in OT, then Errordrian Petersout fumbles the ball....again.

The lines on both sides of the ball have been just plain awful for about a month.TomCat88 wrote:Haha, that's Viking' football. I actually thought they would go for 2 when it was 30-29.
Someday Peterson might figure out how not to fumble. If I'm GM, I'm probably considering a trade for a couple #1's, some O linemen and/or DBs.
All in all - they stole a game for the 49ers, and they gave one away tonight - so it's break even in my mind. They aren't the 2nd best team in the NFC; maybe at home, but not overall. I'd say 4th best behind Saints, Cards and Eagles. They miss EJ too much to win a SB.
Montana State IS what "they" think Montana is.

Chester didn't attend just MSU. When he was fresh out of HS, he attended a private university in western New York during the early-mid 90s. Being in such close proximity to Buffalo, NY... many of Chesters friends / roommates were of the Buffalo Bills persuasion. Those poor bastagesTomCat88 wrote:Has any team in professional sports disappointed its fans more than the Minnesota Vikings? To this day Chester will out-of-the-blue dial up one of his buddies from those days, when they pick up the phone, they are greeted with a whispered voice taunting them: "scott norwood, wide riiiiiiiiiight". then Chester hangs up.

I'm neither a Vikes or Bears fan, however, AP damn near got his head ripped off by a non-called facemask on that play.

OK I will admit it...try being a Lions fans....talk about suffering...Matt Millen ruined the team with all his lousy picks and coaches. I don't there is hardly a high draft pick still on the team let alone in the NFL. Why he is even a football commentator is beyond me.GOKATS wrote:Try being a Raiders fan.......................![]()

The way I am looking at it the Lions are like an expansion team, starting over from scratch. I feel sorry for Fitzsimmons playing for 6-7 years with these guys. Great all around player. I think his contract is up after this year....
I'll have to dig up my Barry Sanders hi-light DVD to remember the good old days!

No kidding. He's a horrible color guy as well. Stumbles, bumbles through words and sentences. What a joke.WeedKillinCat wrote:OK I will admit it...try being a Lions fans....talk about suffering...Matt Millen ruined the team with all his lousy picks and coaches. Chester had to make sure nothing of value was visible / throwable when super bowl sunday came around.

When I saw the title of this thread I thought Tom had become a big Opheim fan.
