High School Track Season
is upon us! Always a great time seeing how next years Cats do. And fun to watch others increase their stock by performing well.

Re: High School Track Season
Looking at some results, I was impressed with a few things right off the bat considering most of the state was covered in snow until a couple weeks ago.
The sprint times were faster than I expected, because sprinters don't generally perform very well in cold weather. If they're going to get considerably better in warmer weather, which is what I'd expect, we might be in for a fun year.
So far we already have three high jumpers over 6'8" and two over 6'10". Class AA/B State in Kalispell will be fun to see...too bad they don't do the high jump competition together.
If weather cooperates, this could be a good track season for several events judging from this start. I know in Bigfork we only got 4 full, outdoor practices before the first meet, and I'd expect most schools were about the same. I expected times/heights/distances to be worse considering that.
