HS championship weekend

As if Cat/Griz weren't already enough, we have all of the state high school championships being played this weekend. Let's get some discussion going about this hard earned honor. Who will come out on top?
AA - Bozeman High vs Helena High @ Bozeman, Friday 11/19, 7:00 pm
I'm sticking with Bozeman in this one if they play to their abilities. Another game like last Friday and it may turn out differently. Clean game = 10 point win, sloppy game = ?
A - Miles City vs Billings Central @ Billings Central, Saturday, 11/20, 1:00 pm
Billings Central: I don't know if the game between these two was a fluke earlier on, but BC absolutely handled MC in that game. Closer this time but same result.
B - Bigfork vs Fairfield @ Bigfork, Saturday, 11/20, 1:00 pm
Fairfield: No reason why other then I gotta go with my old teammate Les and his Eagles.
C8 - Chinook vs Wibaux @ Chinook, Saturday, 11/20, 1:00 pm
Wibaux can probably win an arguement to be favored. But, my wife's cousin is the QB for Chinook. Go Sugarbeeters!
C6 - Savage vs Denton @ Savage, Saturday, 11/20 1:00 pm
No idea here. I have hard Savage is tough. Will be cheering our former wrestling club member's son who is a rb for Denton.

My heart is going to go with my Helena High Bengals. The last matchup was very close, and I think this one could be too. An update on the condition of Van Winkle Field would be appreciated. I'll be there, and it'll be the last time this year that I wear maroon.
An interesting note on the A Championship. I believe that the Head Coaches of Miles City and Billings Central are brothers. Someone correct me if I'm wrong....but if so, that'll make for a fun Thanksgiving dinner next week.

They are and I believe they have another brother who coaches in North Dakota and he is the one that puts up ND's side of the Badlands Bowl--quite the football family!

Wish I could be there, but have to work Friday night. Will be tuning in via radio of course. Bozeman is a very tough team, but I think the Bengals are peaking at just the right time (even though they had a scare at the end of the semifinal game). Should be a good game, and either way, a team that has been long-deserving will walk away with the trophy.

The Miles City/Central game should be a close defensive battle. They have quite the recent history. Technically, it is not a #1 vs. #2 matchup. But if you did consider this a #1 vs. #2 game, then this would be the 5th consecutive matchup where the teams are ranked #1 and #2 in the state. Pretty outstanding.
Billings Central won earlier this season 14-0. Miles City threw 3 picks in the first game to Billings Central's 1. The yards were hard to come by for both teams.

Fairfield is going to roll this weekend. That couple game skid is over and this is the team from the beginning of the season. Also Let's go Hawks!

Central and Miles City? As a Locomotive I'd prefer both teams lose.

Class A-I think Central will pull it off. They have really opened up the passing game since they played last. In the past they would always run the wing-T and after a while the other teams figure it out. I would go to the game but this year I would rather watch the Cats light up the griz...

Miles City is really good when they play from ahead. They can run the ball and control the clock. Central has more of an ability to come from behind and win, so it should be a good one. Miles City is bigger and more physical, but Central can pass the ball. If Central gets up by more than a touchdown at any point in the game, I think it is over. However, my prediction for Saturday is that it is a great weekend to be a Bobcat and Cowboy.

Go Beeters! We were going but the 6 degree weather, wind and snow may keep us from making the trip.
Good Luck!!
