I think Jake Olson at GFH will be worth watching.
At CMR look at Bleskin and Hagfors on Offense and Ryan Otto on Defense and perhaps Phil Selin.

QB—Jake Bleskin, CMR, 6-1, 175, junior
RB—Gavin Hagfors, CMR, 6-1, 195, junior
WR—Ben Roberts, Missoula Sentinel, 6-4, 190, junior (Sounds like he plans to play baseball)
DL— Connor Thomas, Kalispell Flathead, 6-5, 270, junior (verbal to OSU, but bro was just booted off the team)
DB—Connor Lebsock, Billings Skyview, 6-2, 180, junior (I assume will be headed to UM)

Also according to Will's blog from Cat Camp (

Jesse Ginn (DL/Hellgate)
Kaleb Johnson (WR/Columbia Falls)
Tre Thibodeauz (CB/Hellgate)

A couple of guys that really stood out for Bozeman tonight (in addition to Roderick):
Heath Hunter: 6'1" 205lb rb, ran real hard and has respectable speed
Justin Pierson: 6'1" 185lb rb, had good burst
Hellgate has a monster at nose tackle: Jesse Ginn. No player profile in the program but I would say 6'5ish and 300lb

I do believe Ginn has verbal to UM. If not Ginn then some other big lineman from Missoula.
Yes, Nate Bignell gave verbal to MSU. It was shortly after Signing Day.

I will throw a name out there, Blake Eureaux from Fort Benton. Blake is a 6'2 250 lb offensive center and DTackle. He is a great student and relentless in the weight room. Coaches and players who have competed against him know how good he is.

Well I'll throw my nephew on the watch list (especially since he'll be playing Ft Benton in a few weeks): Tyler Molyneaux of Chinook.
Started off the season with 265 yds rushing and four td's in a 47-16 win at Centerville, which hadn't lost a league game in six years or a home game in eight.

Who is Chinook's QB this year? Lane Schmitt is my wife's cousin.

Dillon has two seniors to watch: (1) Monte Folsom- 6'3" 250 lb. center and middle linebacker that moves well and very instinctive; it has been rumored that Monte has given verbal to MSU(Monte's older brother JD Folsom plays for the Miami Dolphins); also has younger brother Ben- 6'1" 170 lb sophomore WR and Safety that is extremely talented
(2) Kyle Godecke- 6'5" 275 lb. offensive and defensive lineman.
Dillon has a couple of really talented juniors as well.
Dillon plays Livingston tonight and will be able to give update on how they looked.

Yes, Lane is the QB, he had a good game last weekend, threw the ball well in the first half and then Chinook kept it on the ground once they built a lead.

Chase White from Shelby was 15-20 for 351 yards and 5 tds vs an overmatched Three Forks team last night. Showed some good touch and velocity on a lot of his passes.

White is pretty good, but puts up big stats against poor teams and has struggled at times against better teams. He needs to show he can lead them to a win in a big game which he hasn't done the last couple of years. Not always his fault but usually a sign of a top tier QB.

Just saw Chase White was the Trib's athlete of the week. It sounds like he pretty much does it all.
Chase White couldn't have opened the 2010 football season in much better fashion.
White, a 6-foot-2, 180-pound senior quarterback/free safety, completed 15 of 20 passes for 351 yards and five touchdowns and added a 1-yard scoring run as Shelby routed visiting Three Forks 45-0. His TD passes covered 13, 10, 76, 6 and 19 yards.
White also kicked two extra points and a 21-yard field goal, and ran for a two-point conversion.
The performance wasn't a surprise, because White is a two-time District 1B all-star who has put up impressive numbers throughout his career. He threw for 1,957 yards and 20 TDs for last year's 4-4 team, earning first-team District 1B honors at quarterback and second-team honors as a defensive back. He passed for 402 yards against Choteau and had six TD passes vs. Conrad.
White has a "very strong arm and is a natural leader," said Shelby coach Tyson Byers, adding that he can read coverages and check down routes.
A fine basketball player, White has helped Shelby advance to the state Class B championship game three consecutive years. As a junior, he earned first-team District 1B honors and was one of five 1B players named to the All-State team, after averaging about 16 points a game.

I would take Blesking and Selin off of my CMR watch list right now. Otto is a stud. He is all over the place. He can play anywhere from D-line, D-End, linebacker or safety.
I watched Schmaing play and was not that impressed.
