On to the championship game! Great home run! Coach Kickbush is a MSU graduate. The father and mother of Andy Maehl, Dave and Meridith are also MSU alums.

Go Billings!

Montana is the 6th team whose in their first appearance went 2-0. The others won the whole thing.

Before tonight the Cali team had pitched 30 scoreless innings and scored 21 points off of 23 hits with no home runs.

Great job by Cole Mckenzie to keep the boys from Billings in it.

That was an incredible game and hats off to the MT boys!! Those kids have no idea how many montana connections were watching. I was keeping my college roommate(MSU) up to date as he was catching a flight! That made my week!

That is someting else. How big would it be if they won the whole thing? I think it would dwarf any other athletic accomplishment Montana has seen.

Yes.. hard to argue that.

Well no lets argue it. What other athletic acheivment for a montana team or individual would be as big.

I was wondering about that too. On a team scale, especially. A couple individuals have been on World Series (Dave McNally), Super Bowl (Pat Donovan) winning teams. Congrats to this team. Truly living the dream.

FACE!

Little League World Series 2011: California Will Embarrass Montana in Game 24
It will be a massacre of epic proportions when California takes on Montana August 24 in Game 24.

California has been on a tear this tournament, one Montana will not be able to match or even begin to halt. Cal is too dominant for the rest of the teams in the tourney and is set on cruise control to victory.
.... blah blah blah

Nice catch Rich K. Cal will have to make it to Game 26 and give it another shot I guess. Why do people say crap like this?

Now this story kind of counters the previous one:

Little League World Series 2011 Bracket: Gritty Montana Team Deserves Credit

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/7905 ... ves-credit

Both appeared on the bleacher report. I'm ok with how they balanced it.

We need to get those kids here for a game, and introduce them on the field, win or lose the championship. It's never too early to recruit fans and potential future Bobcats. Keep them away from hippie ville.
What a rush to have 18,000 fans cheering and shaking cowbells. I'd bet those lids would remember that forever also.
