I have watched Molyneaux play, nice player, will do a good job in the Frontier Conference, not a Big Sky player in my opinion. I hope he proves me wrong, I love Class C kids, just don't think he has the intangibles to play in the BSC.BgCATfan wrote:Tyler Molyneaux had 230 yards rushing and 5td's last night in a win against CJI.
He's already talked with Coach Van Deist from Carroll.

Anyone see the GF Tribune this morning, the kid from Fairfield, a junior, Bo Harris, is a 6'3" 245 lb DE and was named as the 3rd rated high school defensive lineman in the western US after attending combines in ID, CA, and OK and is rated in the top 15 defensive lineman nationally. Pretty impressive and I would guess will be a prospect for the Cats. May be a prospect for upper level schools if he is rated that high.

Re: MT High School Players To Watch
I know I'm a little biased (Tyler is my nephew) but I think the intangibles are one of his strongest assets. Nobody will outwork him and he's a good solid kid off the field as well. Excellent student also. I'll be happy watching him wherever he ends up at, but his first choice would be the Cats, we'll see how the rest of the year goes.AGRBobcat wrote:I have watched Molyneaux play, nice player, will do a good job in the Frontier Conference, not a Big Sky player in my opinion. Haven't watched him play football yet, but watched him throw the shot last year at divisionals and state. Pretty well put together.mtbobcat wrote:Anyone see the GF Tribune this morning, the kid from Fairfield, a junior, Bo Harris, is a 6'3" 245 lb DE and was named as the 3rd rated high school defensive lineman in the western US after attending combines in ID, CA, and OK and is rated in the top 15 defensive lineman nationally. I get to watch him tonight on their Senior Night. Too bad it's against a down Belt team, but hopefully I'll see them for a couple of home playoff games.BgCATfan wrote:I know I'm a little biased (Tyler is my nephew) but I think the intangibles are one of his strongest assets. Re: MT High School Players To Watch
You should, as long as they win by 19 or more tonight, I think they're gauranteed a home playoff game on the 30th. Which is cool, because my daughter will be playing volleyball in Havre also that day, so we're going to try and watch them both.WalkOn79 wrote:I get to watch him tonight on their Senior Night. Is it wierd to put a kicker on the list? nope!
Bailey Lehenbauer. Junior Billings West. He could possibly be emerging as the best kicker in West HIgh history.

I don't know how good he is but age wise he would be perfect to step in to MSU right behind Cunningham.stevo wrote:Is it wierd to put a kicker on the list? nope!

If you want a kicker look at Berg out of Butte. Makes most of em and hits for distance, made a 50 yarder last week in Missoula.

Speaking of Kickers, how is the Bolton kid doing this year, wasnt he kicking off the ground last year and doing well
Thats the think about theses HS kickers, they all use the block which is legal in HS.

Re: MT High School Players To Watch
Last night at the HHS vs. Glacier game, I got a chance to watch the Horn kid from Glacier who is an MSU commit. I was impressed. First, he is big - easily 6-4 or 6-5, and at least 265+. He's got room to put on some more size as well. He's got great footwork and he's athletic. They moved him to various positions on the O-line depending on what Glacier was running - for example, he normally played Guard, but they would move him to OT and pull him up through the interior. He's got good quickness, and can pull well.
It's really tough to tell at this point, but I think it was Will that said that he could probably play next year - I have to agree with that assessment. I hate playing true freshmen on the Oline, but if need be he could probably come in and do an adequate job for us next year. In the long run, I think he has the potential to be a very good Olineman for MSU.

I believe Bolton was the leading punter in Class AA by a wide margin.cats2506 wrote:Speaking of Kickers, how is the Bolton kid doing this year, wasnt he kicking off the ground last year and doing well

Lee Hardt from Billings West is leading the AA in Punting with a 45.5 average. Bolton has a 41.8 average.John K wrote:I believe Bolton was the leading punter in Class AA by a wide margin.cats2506 wrote:Speaking of Kickers, how is the Bolton kid doing this year, wasnt he kicking off the ground last year and doing well

My mistake....sorry. I haven't really looked at the stats since probably about midway through the regular season, and I believe Bolton was leading at that time.stevo wrote:Lee Hardt from Billings West is leading the AA in Punting with a 45.5 average. Ok LTown, looks like Monte Folsom has verballed to the cats. Says he plans to take his Mormon Mission for two years and then be playing for MSU in 2013. Anyone who has any information as to how the Mission deal works and whether we would own his rights or can he talk with other teams would be greatly appreciated. Basically, can we lose this guy before he ever plays for us?
