as much as i love my mom, i'd be annoyed if i was on the first team to ever go to the LLWS, and she decided to wear cat gear instead of the colors of my uni's like every other parent.

griz fans. [-X

:D

True that.

That's awesome! It's so cool that because of Montana's relative small population it seems like the whole state is following this little team. This is not the case in California or Texas...haha!

That was an awesome game. Took them a couple innings to calm down but did what they had to do! As a former little leaguer that was one game away from making it to regionals (15 years ago #-o )I can just imagine the high these kids are feeling...oh and i thought the exact same thing about that mom in griz gear...way to cheer on your son and his team  I thought about if my mom had worn a cat shirt and hat instead of the team colors (like every single other parent) I would have been very upset. So it isn't just because it was a griz fan. [-X

Haha, yeah, that stuff gravels my ass sometimes, too. It makes more sense for a Griz or Cat fan to wear logo gear to a ISU vs. NAU game than to do that. I was in a meeting today and in walks some co-worker dude with a worn Griz cap and Griz t-shirt. It's like give it a rest or at least lose the cap and wear a nice polo shirt with some kind of UM logo on it. You're at work, not in a tailgate area.

No offense fellas, but who gives a rip what the lady was wearing? It's not a big deal and when it's all said and done, if that woman was one of the players' mom, that kid probably isn't losing any sleep tonight about it. Just putting it out there.

One thing I'll say, it amazes me how big some of these damn kids are! The Mackenzie kid has a lot of potential to do great things as an athlete. He had some ridiculously high batting average during the regional tournament.

no offense taken. just something i noticed and something i always notice. griz fans are notorious for insisting on wearing their griz gear to any and every ocation. i was at a wedding a couple summers ago in which a guy went in a griz tee. was i upset about it? not at all. i made fun of him and went on my way.

just found it interesting is all. and i even put a :D on my post so i thought it would come across more jokingly than serious.

Definitely wasn't directed solely at you at all and I definitely know what you are talking about regarding the subject! I just didn't want to see a thread shift focus...again. :D

The Askelson (pitcher/catcher) kid is a pretty solid wrestler, good kid too.

Before the Montana boys showed up, first time teams had gone 1-8 at the LLWS. They are setting a new standard. Hopefully they won't have to think about school until the evening on August 28th.

They will be facing a very tough California team that have won their first two games 21-0.

Congrats to the boys from Billings on another great victory! Keep it going boys!

Wouldn't it be cool if the entire team were invited to a Bobcat game and recognized for their achievement? Can someone make this happen, please?!?!?
