How's this for a 100% truthful statement.
"Money has never been my motivation," he said. "It's not my family's (motivation). Mostly, just playing and feeling like I'm able to advance my game to the next level. It's not about the money. I'm just happy and grateful to have the opportunity."
A quote by Julian Wright at KU from an article about declaring for the draft.

I'm not doubting he wants to challenge himself at a higher level of play but why does he feel he has to make people think it's not about the money when everyone knows that it is? Maybe he should give his NBA salary to charity...if it's not about the money.

Sage pieces of wisdom...
1. Never drink anything blue.
2. Never play cards with anyone whose first name is also the name of a major U.S. city.
3. Never order the blue plate special at a diner named "Mom's."
4. And if someone says, "It's not about the money," it ALWAYS is.
