Remember this guy?

Post by DevilHawk » Fri Feb 16, 2007 12:48 pm

From Pat Forde of ESPN.com:

The Minutes salutes the iron men of Becker College (39) in Massachusetts, who won a 102-98 four-overtime game Saturday against Mitchell College while playing just seven men -- one of them for only seven minutes. Three guys went the full 60 for Becker, including Shawn Fuller (53 points) and Emmanuel Masumbuko (27 points, 23 rebounds). The Minutes' spies inform that Becker (3-19, despite that effort) is coached by Ron Abegglen (40), who was the man in charge at Weber State when Harold "The Show" Arceneaux shockingly shot North Carolina out of the 1999 NCAA Tournament.

He's finally resurfaced somewhere. It's possible that anyone who can coach will come up somewhere. I remember Ableggen as a good coach, but he was not well-liked, especially after his wife beating charge that led to his dismissal. But that Weber State win over North Carolina was amazing!

Arceneaux was amazing! But he was incredibly 'old' in the BSC.

WSU picks up a bunch of the players who have a "2 year mission commitment". Add a military commitment and..........?

JMHO- but Harold was one of the finest BB players I've had the pleasure to watch play the game.

BTW- I don't know if he had a 'mission' commitment or if he had a military commitment- I was just damn glad that he finally used up his eligibility.

Harold still has game. He is playing CBA ball in Great Falls. He is just a solid ball player.
