Back after Grady Bennet transferred from Montana State to U of Montana the Big Sky passed a conference rule that became known as "The Grady Bennet Rule" basically stating that if a player transfers with in the conference they must sit out 2 years before they can suit up for the new Big Sky rule.
Idaho State DB Eric Stoll is transferring to UM. As far as I can tell the Grady Bennet Rule is still a valid. So won't he be sitting 2 years. Can anyone know more about how this works?

Over on EGRIZ it says he only has to sit out a year? We should email the Big Sky Conf website and ask that? I am curious on that as well!

Here is what I found out is the current rule:
In all BSC sports, a student-thlete who receives athletically-related funancial aid and transfers directly to another BSC institution must fulfill a residence requirement of one full academic year (two full semesters or three full quarters excluding summer term) before competing. During that period the student-athlete shall not be offered, provided or have arranged directly or indirectly any earned or unearned athletically-related financial aid.

I'm just wondering what the hell funancial aid is. Do they assist in making the college experience more enjoyable? Y'know...more fun!

Don't you love how Griz fans like to claim that Cat fans are terrible at talking smack, yet every other post they point to is considered smack. Must be nice to have things both ways in that dark-pink universe.
