Bailey in Iowa?

Post by nevadacat » Tue Jan 02, 2007 9:39 pm

Had to wonder about this.

Iowa/Texas bowl game.
Just over 3 minutes left.
Iowa trails by 2. Three TOs left.
Kicked a FG only 2 minutes earlier after a 72-yard drive where they controlled the LOS.
Iowa forces a 3-and-out on Texas, whose punter promptly shanks one for an 18-yarder.
Iowa has the momentum and takes over on the Texas 48.
Needs only 20 yards to get in range for a game-winning FG.
Texas is back a bit on their heels.

Play call? Reverse.
Result? Loss of 11 yards.

Flashback to Appy.
