Over on egriz there is a link to the Cardinals message board where they are saying he is to be the new guy. WOW! Nothing against Bobby, but I didn't think he stood a chance if this is indeed true. They are talking that his recruiting talents may well be the reason for the job.

WOW! I didn't think he had a chance at this job, but if so that would be huge for him. Also, if we can float this rumor around enough, maybe we can get some recruits that are on the fence.

I guess we'll finally see how good Bobby can indeed recruit now that he's a place where no one really cares to play. We'll also find out whether his teams can win at a place where no one really cares about football. Welcome to the Weber State of the Pac-10.

I would be amazed if Hauck was hired on at Stanford. He's done very well at Montana but, no smack intended, who wouldn't? rtb could take over with Bay Area Cat and Kmax as assistants and they would still make the playoff's. That's not a knock on Hauck, I think he's a decent enough coach, but a PAC-10 school from Montana with only 4 years head coaching experience......??? Kudo's to him if he does get it.
Where's MVD's phone number?

We would never take jobs at UM and if we did I can assure you UM wouldn't make the playoffs if we had anything to do with it!
Actually, if you haven't noticed the three moderators are well established Monday Morning coaches and ADs. We could probably lead any team, even Northern Colorado to the Championship if we are even half as good as we think we are!

I call special teams! And I will delegate all of the "how to" stuff to people who know a lot more than I do. I'm more of a big picture kind a guy. High and deep, baby. High and deep.

You'll have to talk to rtb ... I'm too busy reviewing Reggie Roby archive footage right now.

It's all about having a good looking coach right? I think that is why meat elected me.

That only happened once when I was 9 or 10 and I don't think it will be happening again, EVER.
Who is moderating around here anyway? Aren't we supposed to be talking about Hauck at Stanford. Get back on topic!

And let me know when I should put in my resume at UM.

It's not like the topic was something important ... like Bobcat Athletics.
But fine, I'll give it a shot ....
I'll be surprised if Hauck gets the Stanford job, but kudos to him if he does ... and if he does, I will personally take in a few games next year to see how he does.
It would be a great job at one of the most amazing universities on the planet.

If true, this might be the biggest con since we stole Manhattan from the indians.

We will merely sign up under multiple usernames on a UM fan website and spread rumors that you privately hate football and openly balked at the idea of pressuring the local Catholic Bishop to pressure the Pope to canonize Don Read (even though he is still alive).
For your crimes against the order, the villagers will show up with pitchforks and torches, and you shall be summoned from your tower and cast out of the land.
And then we will prop up Bernie in your old position (who is still dead, but is holding up well, although has not been mentioned as a candidate for canonization), and hilarity will ensue as he will proceed to seduce the coeds and, remarkably, do a rather efficient job of managing the department's budget.
Yes, it will be cool. Very, very cool.

Hauck didn't get it, Harbaugh did. Probably because of the name more than anything, I don't really think either of them are the right fit for Stanford, but time will tell. Coaching at San Diego State and Stanford will be two different worlds.

Not that it matters now, but there's a big difference in San Diego St. and the U of San Diego (where Harbaugh coached).
