App. State wins it all

For what it's worth we held ASU to less yards than anyone else in the playoffs. Two ofthe scores that had on us were off a blocked punt and fumble that set up on our doorstep. If only...

You make a pretty strong case that our D played them tougher than anyone else. I think those are a couple things to hang our hats on. Losing out to the eventual champs on the road isn't such a bad thing.

Beats getting beat out by the second best team at home.

Man, I hope the next years worth of arguments don't degenerate into something like: We got put out of the playoffs by the national champion and you got put out by the runner up or we got beat by a better team so our strength of schedule is going to be higher or we should open in the polls in the top five

Let's keep it to we got the best coach or our recruits are better than yours or our stadium is going to be better than yours because we've got a better view or our coach can whip your coach

It looks like MSU's performance in Boone was just about the best that ASU had seen all season. I don't know how the final rankings will come out, but over the last 2/3 of the season, MSU was unquestionably a top 5 team.

Now for next year, we just need to get rid of that first 1/3 of the season where they looked like a top 100 team (except for the CU game, where they again looked like a top 5 team).

This program is on the cusp of great things!

And which BSC team has the longest current home playoff game winning streak?

I agree and it is only right to assume that MSU would be a top 10 preseason team. however, i will prefer to be a sceptic and assume that MSU wont crack the top 25 again

I'm with ya Hells Bells, I would feel more comfortable being the underdogs again. It's hard enough to be a success, we don't need the extra pressure. (of course that my be the cowards way out, I suppose it would be best to just accept the callange.)

i am not saying that. i guess i could have been simplistic and cried east coast bias but something tells me i would get flamed for it. so instead i am just going to assume that we wont get any respect

I think you will see some respect this year for MSU in the preseason polls. I bet we are top 15 coming into next year in the first poll.

I read way back that it was Hauck- you can't vote for your own team.
