Eric Meyer signed with San Francisco................GIANTS

Post by rtb » Thu Oct 05, 2006 8:17 am

Just read in the paper that Meyer signed a one year dual-sport contract with the SF Giants. This allows him to look at opportunities that come from the NFL, but while he waits for that he is with the Giants developmental team in AZ showing off his 96 MPH fastball.

Very Impressive!

If I remember right wasn't he drafted in the MLB draft one or more times even while he was playing football at EWU?

I had heard he was drafted every year since high school.

That's what I thought I remembered as well but I wasn't sure if I had the wrong person or not.
