It seems 3-4 times a year some one asks what a "verbal commitment" mean in college sports/recruiting. The following I think descibes it quite well as well as talks about a move by some NCAA coaches to define and make enforceable a "Vebal Commitment". In this case I agree with the author - leave it alone!
