Man, I hope we "overachieve". I had this same argument with a Griz fan buddy last night. I felt the Gazettes, position by position rankings were right on---BS

Actually, he felt they were right on, not me. We lead the Big Sky in defense last year, return almost everyone and the Griz beat or tie us in all defensive categories and he agreed with them.

Yeah, pretty much ssdd with all these columns/ columnists.

You can't blame Doughboy, though. The week he decides to go with anyone but the griz he knows damn well that he'll show up to work the next day to carepackages filled with poisoned moosedrool and a full emailbox of curses and threats from the mangy band of grizbitches. Meanwhile we'll be treated to a giant thread on eGriz where hearty fans will boastfully copy and post the email they sent to Matt, letting him have it for being such an idiot. Basically you can snub the rest of the whole conference without feeling much of a backlash, but pick the Griz to finish second, or <gasp!> lose a game... your whole week is f'ed.

The funny thing about the Gazette breakdown was that they were listing 'Cat players in the wrong positions. Pretty hard to read, since I was laughing my ass off.

It's a crock; the A-10 has five in the top 16 and the Gateway five in the top 17 of the Sportsnetwork preseason poll  All preseason polls mean is :?: :?: :?: :?: Wonder which top five team this year I think is going to wind up like Tennessee last year

My buddy also said there is no team in the Great West that will make the playoffs unless Cal Poly goes undefeated. The same Cal Poly team that handed the Griz their ugly asses last year. He makes no sense.

This guys balls are like BB's bouncing around inside a boxcar. Doughboy should get off his little grizzly tricycle and just say that the griz are ******@d without Hilliard and that that other team in Montana will kick their asses again.
