Given the string of off-field problems listed in the article, shouldn't Harvard be taking a look at their recruiting process, and the character of athletes they are recruiting?
Seriously, I'm not trying to make light of the situation, nor am I trying to excuse our own off-field difficulties. All I am saying is that it is a shame that in any population of people (no matter how small) there will be some that get into trouble - even at a revered institution such as Harvard. I do not believe that it is Harvard's fault. Blame should be put on the individuals that committed the act (allegedly).

My point (which I could probably have articulated more artfully) is that at this time that many are criticizing MSU for the horrible actions of two former students, that at least two very well respected schools (Harvard and Air Force) are having difficulty with the behavior of their current student athletes.
We should all keep in mind that people are responsible for their own actions.

I knew what you meant and I agree. People need to take care of themselves and people need to take responsibility for their actions. Rather than look at a school or some other institution all the time.
