FYI Griz TV Schedule

Post by Eastcoastgriz » Fri Jul 07, 2006 6:40 am

University of Montana athletic director Jim O'Day announced Wednesday that KPAX-TV and Montana have reached an agreement to broadcast the Grizzlies' two home non-conference football games this fall, South Dakota State on Sept. 9 and Cal Poly on Nov. 4.

The deal gives KPAX the broadcast rights for 10 of Montana's 11 games this fall, excluding the Grizzlies' Sept. 2 match-up at Iowa, which is owned by ESPNU.

Montana's News Stations will also broadcast the 10 games this fall. Those stations are KRTV of Great Falls, KTVQ of Billings, KXLF of Butte, KXLH of Helena, KBZK of Bozeman and KXGN of Glendive.

“We appreciate the investment that KPAX has made in order to televise all of the Grizzlies' home and Big Sky Conference games,” O'Day said Wednesday. “This agreement ensures that Griz fans across the state will continue to have the opportunity to watch and support their team.”

Every Cat game (home or away) besides the Colorado game is being televised as well. Look to either Altitude or Max Media (ABC in Great Falls)

This really is cool that both teams will be on TV nearly every week - Montana's game against Iowa will be on ESPNU for those who get it (I will be camping that weekend, listening to the game on XM). Wouldn't surprise me to see Colorado-MSU get picked up by Altitude as well (I think Colorado games are on Sirius for those who have that). Who could have imagined a few years ago you would be able to watch both teams all year on TV? Awesome.

Where will the MSU and UM games be televised? I assume that for us in Minneapolis we would not be able to see the games.

I was wondering if maybe Fox Sports RM would pick up the CU game? Does anyone know? It seems like they cover a lot of Colorado and Colorado State stuff.

Glad to see none of the Griz games will be on tape delay at 11:00 at night this year. That sucked not having those on live. I love it when the Cats are away and both Cats and Griz are on so I can check out the Griz game at commercials and halftime.

Fear not, gtapp. The Brawl will be on satellite. There are always Brawl satellite parties in Minneapolis. If you can't find details on the cat website, check out http://www.umontanaalumni.org/index.asp.

Thanks CatPride. And CP is correct. No matter which univeristy you attended, join the Alumni Associations. They do great work for you and for MSU/UM, and your dues will be money well-spent.

Great plug for either school, both have very active and helpful associations. My company does a lot of prospective hires through MSU alumni association too.

5. EWU
6. NAU
7. Weber
8. Idaho State (orange and black not my colors, but oh well)
9. Cal Poly (damn too bad I gave that pin away I ordered last fall)
10. UNC

Hmm. Better get used to dissappointment. I believe your "favorite teams" will be doing a lot of losing.
