Rumor gas it that Wyoming is getting close to making a change in men's basketball. Krysko is on their short list...

There may be MANY more offers if they win at the Tourney.
On Monday we'll hear what opens up in the country.

I have a strong anti-Wyoming bias (the whole state just bores me, for some reason), but I would think that he could do better than Wyoming ... if not right now, then in the very near future.

I agree. I'm sure Coach K. won't be here more than another year or two but I'm also sure he could do better than Wyoming!!!

Does it irk anyone else that going to Wyoming is considered a step up from the Montana schools?

That said, I don't see coach K ever going down there. Last summer he turned down an NBA assitant job that pays 3X what he is getting now because he didn't want to break a promise to his team. When coach K decides it's time to move on, I have no doubt he will get a better deal than anything Wyoming can throw at him.

I live in Wyoming and though there is no comparison between the two states IMO regarding beauty and quality of life, Wyoming basketball is a step up from either MSU or UM. The state is a step down but not the basketball program. There is an even bigger separation between the MWC and the BSC.

I like parts of Wyo but I cannot imagine Larry wanting to live in Laramie! Plus, I suspect better offers will appear and soon. If he is in it for the money, he'll move on. However, this may not be the case. Financially, I'd have to imagine he's in pretty good shape and he is building something special at the UofM. He quite possibly may want to see it through! :D

I think Larry would entertain an offer from the right school, but I think location would have much to do as money. Just for a little info Larry and his family just pulled a permit to put a new addition to his home. They should just be putting the new foundations down as we speak/type. Does not exactly sound like some one who is actively looking to move.

Mslacat I heard that the when Larry K left to be an assistant at ODU it was because his wife was not real fond of Msla. Have you heard anything of the sort?

When Krysco was an assistant I had the oppertunity to talk with Krysco and his wife on many occations. Jan was not a Missoula person she simply prefers a more urban enviroment, or at least one with more cultural oppertunities (concerts, shopping ect.). I also think that the Missoula wage rates were tough. Remember Krysco was lthe 2nd or 3rd assistant and Jan was trying her hand at realty. I reall think Jan got a bum rap, it is not that she did not like Missoula but missed the oppertunities she had previuosly. I don't think she into hunting or Fishing?

I heard from a Griz insider that Peperdine is offering something around $900,000 and a house on the beach.

They interviewed Coach K in the Missoulian today and he said himself that it would be crazy for him not to listen to other offers. He also said that he will leave when he is ready and it not about the money.

Sounds like to me he wants to leave with no regrets and he will leave once his work is done with Montana. Could be next year or 10 years down the road, But I bet that the only thing on his mind right now is Nevada

I doubt $900,000 would buy much of a house in that area of the country let alone anything on the beach!
