Any of you have many gris friends? O my gosh. How their attitude has CHANGED in recent weeks!
They were SO QUIET several weeks ago, but NOT NOW!
Not only are they predicting just how bad they are going to bash the Cats, but they are proudly
proclaiming that their stadium is in the top ten of the loudest of all football stadiums in America.
I'm just a tad skeptical of that claim. I can only hope that our Bobcats will keep it very quiet.
But first we have to take care of EWU. Anyway, this is the propganda they are spreading:
Can you hear us now?!! Washington-Grizzly Stadium is in the top 10 of loudest stadiums in ALL of college football! Montana had an official decibel reading of 111.3 decibels back in 2013, though some Griz fans say they recorded higher levels up to 117 decibels using their own devices!
“Charles, we’ve been to some pretty cool places, but this has got to be the tops! Reminds me of Autzen Stadium up in Oregon.” – ESPN commentators Todd Harris & Charles Arbuckle

1. Husky Stadium (University of Washington) – 133 decibels
2. Memorial Stadium (Clemson) – 132 decibels
3. Tiger Stadium (LSU) – 130 decibels
4. Autzen Stadium (Oregon) – 127 decibels
5. Beaver Stadium (Penn State) – 122 decibels
6. Razorback Stadium (Arkansas) – 117 decibels
7. Kyle Field (Texas A&M) – 117 decibels
8. Ben Hill Griffin Stadium (Florida) – 115 decibels

Seems unlikely that a stadium holding 23,000 could be louder than any FBS major program stadium that holds 80-100,000.

I didn’t even get all the way through your post when I recalled going to a Huskies game back in 2008. I thought my eardrums were going to shatter. That cantilever overhang reflects all the noise back down on the crowd.

Gris fans have now accounted for 85% of all the FCS Championship tickets that have been sold. The FCS just came out and said that if UM, and only if UM makes it, that the game site location will be moved to the Dallas Cowboys stadium, since they are the only FCS team that has a large enough fan base to fill that stadium. Tony Romo also said he would be on hand to see if the Gris fans are louder there then the Cowboy fans were at any game he played in while he was playing there. That would make the Gris fans the loudest fans he has ever heard in 2 different stadiums.

WGS and Bobcat Stadium are as loud as they are relative to bigger stadiums because practically everyone is screaming in those two places. If you go to a “big time” stadium, you’ll notice that not everyone is screaming. When it happens in a big stadium you can tell the difference but it’s rare. It happened in a Phillies game in the playoffs vs the Braves I think. I wasn’t there but Just from the sound through the tv speakers you could tell. Usually only happens when a huge play occurs which that was.
MSU is by far the most successful road team at WGS. As successful as the home team over the last ten games there.

Many of those 100,000 are a long way from the field.

It is amazing how loud empty seats can be! The number of empty seats on TV for the Sac State game was unbelievable!
The number of people inside the Canyon Club and inside the boxes was unbelievable too. Also, the number of people waiting in line to get into the stadium when the game started was unbelievable.

I thought this post of Prodical Cat was interesting:
"While I think Cats win on the 18th you have to be a bit more pragmatic. Its in Wagris where Cats lost last time they were there, they just came off smoking a Sac St team that was a projected seed and hung with the Cats till the 4th qtr, and beat an Idaho team in Moscow who the Cats lost to. Gris are as hot as a team gets right now, any outsider would pick them to win the game."
I don't know if UM is hot; I think they're just improving and starting to play up to their potential. We will see if they can keep it up. Cat/Griz should be a battle.

Wow! You are amazing!! You monitor the lines into the stadium while also monitoring the Canyon Club and the boxes all while sitting in your front row seats (alluded to something like when discussing the Gris and Sac sideline brawl). I wish that I had your skills. I can’t do that at Bobcat Stadium…
