He got flagged on that play....but so did the Idaho player for some reason.Cataholic wrote: ↑Mon Oct 16, 2023 12:32 pmYes. I saw him in the Idaho game. He had a dirty play out of bounds. Play was clearly over yet he didn’t stop. The green advertisement board that he ran through should have been a clue.
I have to say the number of questionable hits by UM on the sidelines was remarkable. Either late or unnecessary roughness. Lots of them borderline dirty. Lots of them by different players all game. Was amazed they never got flagged.

I’ll be honest. If one of our OL did what Mayginnes did on that play, I’d cheer the ****** out of it. Every good team plays with some nasty, and you play to the whistle. It’s a fine line between physical and dirty.

He got unsportsmanlike Idaho player a personal foul.only thing I could see was maybe Idaho guy grabbed facemask as 61's helmet came off and he didn't have to go out a play.LTown Cat wrote: ↑Mon Oct 16, 2023 1:48 pmHe got flagged on that play....but so did the Idaho player for some reason.Cataholic wrote: ↑Mon Oct 16, 2023 12:32 pmYes. Whistle usually blows before they are 10 yards out of bounds.BelligerentBobcat wrote: ↑Mon Oct 16, 2023 2:18 pmI’ll be honest. I'm all for playing mean and nasty and playing right to the edge of legal..... but this one was waaaaay too late and ten yards out of bounds.BelligerentBobcat wrote: ↑Mon Oct 16, 2023 3:36 pmIt didn’t on this play. Point being, I wouldn't cheer any of our players for doing this but rather be yelling at them to use their heads and not cost your team precious yards.

The guy he was blocking pulled his helmet off before they were off the field. That's what likely caused the long block.catatac wrote: ↑Mon Oct 16, 2023 7:03 pmI'm all for playing mean and nasty and playing right to the edge of legal..... but this one was waaaaay too late and ten yards out of bounds.BelligerentBobcat wrote: ↑Mon Oct 16, 2023 3:36 pmIt didn’t on this play. Then if he doesn't retaliate the Grz gain 15 yards. Instead he blocks him into the bleachers for offsetting penalty.Grizfan7 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 16, 2023 7:24 pmThe guy he was blocking pulled his helmet off before they were off the field. No, if 61 doesn't push the Idaho guy into his sideline, there are no penalties on the play. The penalty was called on 61. Only after conferring for some time, did the officials call the 2d penalty on the Idaho player. That would not have been called, had 61 not gotten called for the penalty. I believe UM kept that drive going anyway.tetoncat wrote: ↑Tue Oct 17, 2023 12:46 pmThen if he doesn't retaliate the Grz gain 15 yards. Re: Poor Grizzlies
Almost immediately the announcers said there were 2 flags thrown. unfortunately the ref didn't tell much about the penalty against UI.Grizfan7 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 17, 2023 11:31 pmNo, if 61 doesn't push the Idaho guy into his sideline, there are no penalties on the play.
