Grizzly High Points
and current hot topics.
Robby getting the tackling record with a lot of discussion about padded stats, nepotism, and this talk is being validated on social media from former star Griz players.
A Griz player getting the FCS player of the year at his position, and it's the PUNTER.
Some Griz cheerleaders have made it to NFL cheer squads.
You can't make some of this stuff up. Plus, Monte.

Literally the BEST thing they have going currently is the Bobcat DC was pulled over for suspected DUI. That's it. And I love it.catatac wrote: ↑Wed Dec 14, 2022 10:19 pmand current hot topics.

I remember the days when our season was over while the griz were still playing and we had nothing to talk about either. So happy those days are in the past.

Watch the legacy number at grisley land go the punter. Their most valuable player.ilovethecats wrote: ↑Thu Dec 15, 2022 10:01 amLiterally the BEST thing they have going currently is the Bobcat DC was pulled over for suspected DUI. That's it. Re: Grizzly High Points
I get the griz hatred, believe me. But this thread, 2 days before a semi-final game at SDSU, is why griz fans tell us they live rent free in our heads.

That's ok. Lots of talk about SDSU too. I'm capable of making fun of the griz at the same time I cheer for the Cats. Pretty multiple-faceted that way.
Also, there are countless threads about the Cats on egriz. New ones every day. So if we're guilty....so are they.

I know where you’re coming from, believe me. The ESG GCG chant all year long screams little brother to me. But it is pretty funny to peek over at E gris right now and see “big brother” talking about the Cats so much. The living rent free is much more evenly divided then they want to admit

Re: Grizzly High Points
I'm staying with my parents in Billings during the playoffs and while we were watching the news tonight an MTN/griz commercial came on. My mom got so mad that they're still showing griz stuff and made sure to tell me everyone on the station are griz fans and it's the griz channel. I had to remind her that all they have to watch on tv is commercials while we still get to watch games.

Eastwood, did not make it. Ball out! Recovered, by Montana State!! The Bobcats hold!!! The Bobcats hold!!!

The "living rent free" dig shows up all over the internet on sports message boards and is one of the dumbest things you'll ever see on one. All sports fans pay attention to what their rival teams are doing as well as their own team, so I guess we're just all out here living rent free in each other's heads no matter who we root for!

Yep! For me I guess the entire Big Sky is living rent free in my head because I follow all the teams closely. Granted, I do follow University of Missoula more than the other BS schools... but whatever!MSU01 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 15, 2022 8:08 pmThe "living rent free" dig shows up all over the internet on sports message boards and is one of the dumbest things you'll ever see on one. Bill and Mary is living rent free in my head because I simply can’t help myself from looking at their board every day because what I read is astonishing.
Guilty as charged.

Re: Grizzly High Points
I hate when people try to say you shouldn't think about your rival when you're not playing them. My whole life I've heard the saying "my two favorite teams are <my team> and whoever is playing <my rival team>". Everybody does it. I really don't think you can be a real fan and pull for your opponent when you're fighting for the same recruits and resources. Sometimes we try to be classy about it, but honestly anything bad for your rival is good for your team, and anything good for them is at some level bad for your team. There's nothing wrong with discussing anything good for your team, so I say keep talking about anything that's bad for those guys. When things are bad in Missoula, all they can talk about is the history of the rivalry and the fact that they're living rent free in our heads. It makes them feel better, so let 'em have that.ilovethecats wrote: ↑Fri Dec 16, 2022 1:07 amCount me in.catatac wrote: ↑Thu Dec 15, 2022 8:20 pmYep! Re: Grizzly High Points
Personally, I want the gris to be just good enough to give them hope, so that we can crush their souls every November.
I think that Bobby is the perfect coach for them in that regard. In V1 he had enough of a talent and facilities gap over every one that they couldn't help but be the top of the BSC. Now that the field is a lot more even, his coaching just isn't up to the task.

Re: Grizzly High Points
Every year they go 7-4 in the regular season & 1-1 in the playoffs, losing their first road game is another year that they keep Bobby Hauck around. And another year of Cat dominance in the Brawl.cats2506 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 16, 2022 12:25 pmPersonally, I want the gris to be just good enough to give them hope, so that we can crush their souls every November.
