Holy cow looks like they have raised $555,500,778 toward their goal of $25,000,000. Mecca is an understatement! I guess their Gateway Project is in high gear!

That's odd, because I've heard they might drop football or drop down to D2.
Also there's been no updates to that page since 2020 it seems like

Either it’s an unfortunate typo or Bezos felt like getting a nice tax write off. Probably the former

Not sure if this is a joke or not but you've got a couple too many 5s in your number. They've raised $5,555,008, which includes a $5 million gift, as of Dec 2022. The regression to D2 appears to be on track.

The webpage had the number I used ($555,500,778). I knew it was a misprint but opted to have fun with it instead. They fixed it on the webpage. Good for them. Glad they raised over 20% of their goal but I have a feeling it's like the Gateway Project and they won't get close to the goal for quite a while.

They announce these plans every couple of years. Nothing comes of it.

The first $5 Million came in 2019. In 3 years they added half a million. Back of envelope solution shows to get that last $19.5 Million will only take them 58 years to reach their goal.
My only question is will red turf still be the recruit magnet in 2080 that it is today?
