Yeah, I really like coach Stig.
His pressers are great.

He just seems like a really good dude. He seemed so genuinely happy for Vigen after their loss last December.

I'm a little surprised at the gap in votes between Troy Taylor in 2nd and Coach Vigen in 9th. I guess that win over Colorado State really really mattered a lot!

Yeah I agree. I don't know that Vigen should have won the whole thing, but this shows very little respect for the guy who lost 4 NFL players and dealt with a rash of injuries, yet still has his team in a better position than last year. Still, a top-10 FCS coach is nothing to scoff at.

Not sure voters look at each candidate that closely...kennethnoisewater wrote: ↑Thu Dec 08, 2022 4:59 pmYeah I agree. Maybe you're right, but then what ARE they looking at? Overall record? He's up there. Ranking? That's decent. The Butcher wrote: ↑Fri Dec 09, 2022 8:45 amNot sure voters look at each candidate that closely...kennethnoisewater wrote: ↑Thu Dec 08, 2022 4:59 pmYeah I agree. HC of #1 ranked team or best one year turn around story wins.kennethnoisewater wrote: ↑Fri Dec 09, 2022 10:59 amMaybe you're right, but then what ARE they looking at? Overall record? He's up there. Vigen didn't win last year because the team was already good and it's a regular season award which he blew by losing to the griz. He didn't win this year because he lost to OSU. If he goes undefeated next year with that schedule he'll win it, unless he gets outvoted by a feel good story.
Eastwood, did not make it. Ball out! Recovered, by Montana State!! The Bobcats hold!!! The Bobcats hold!!!

No argument with who won it. He deserves it and he's an obvious pick for anybody, paying attention or not. I just can't figure out how Vigen goes all the way to 9th...that seems like pretty harsh punishment for losing to a top 15 or 16 FBS team.coloradocat wrote: ↑Fri Dec 09, 2022 11:10 amHC of #1 ranked team or best one year turn around story wins.kennethnoisewater wrote: ↑Fri Dec 09, 2022 10:59 amMaybe you're right, but then what ARE they looking at? Probably just a combination of east coast bias and the fact that Troy Taylor took most of the votes for the BSC. Getting blown out by the 14th best FBS team in the country was likely a bigger minus than beating one of the worst FBS teams in the country was a plus.kennethnoisewater wrote: ↑Fri Dec 09, 2022 11:13 amNo argument with who won it.
