Idaho-Sac State

Vandals down by 17 at the half, now leading in the 4th quarter 27-24 after two takeaways. Really good game!
In the limited amount I've heard Troy Taylor talk this season in press conferences and post-game interviews, he's gone out of his way to embrace the city of Sacramento and try to get the city to embrace the team. His players are doing it too from what I've seen. With Cal and Stanford being bad lately, you have to think there are some football fans in that part of Northern California that just want to embrace a good team. Even when those teams are good fans know they don't have all that much of a chance at doing anything on the national level. If Sac can keep getting good crowds, they'll increase revenue and have the potential to stay relevant in whatever ends up happening with the top FCS programs.
Wow! That’s incredible. A coach’s personality and success can make a big difference. I know that Troy Taylor was a legendary high school coach in California — was that in the Sacramento area?
The game being homecoming helped, but that’s still very good. Not sure if they host Davis or not, but it’s so close I bet that game is close to a sellout.Bobcat4Ever wrote: ↑Mon Oct 31, 2022 5:34 pmWow! That’s incredible. Sacramento absolutely hit the jackpot with Troy Taylor, from both connections and football background. He was the quarterback at Cal. Then to the NFL. Storied career at Cordova High just east of Sacramento. Offensive coordinator at Utah. Perfect big-time fit for CS Sacramento. No wonder his winning team is putting fans in the stands at their nice stadium. If UC Davis students (and there are like 40k) in small part come over to the game the place will be buzzing.Bobcat4Ever wrote: ↑Mon Oct 31, 2022 5:34 pmWow! That’s incredible. It should be sold out. It’s always well attended. They had almost 20,000 in 2019 game at SAC.Bobcat4Ever wrote: ↑Mon Oct 31, 2022 10:19 pmSacramento absolutely hit the jackpot with Troy Taylor, from both connections and football background.
