Upsets and head scratches so far

Jacksonville State absolutely shellacked Stephen F. Austin last Saturday, and they didn't even play the full game due to weather. Some pundits were talking a possible seed for SFA. SFA was supposed to have a top 20 D and one of the best QB-WR duos in the FCS.
Saint Francis took Akron to OT and led most of the game.
Bryant took FIU to OT and led all game.
This is is a big one. Samford took down Kennesaw tonight and really controlled the game. Kennesaw most likely is out of the seed conversation already with that loss.
Head scratcher. Weber beat Western Oregon 41-5. Weber only mustered 343 yards of offense, and 3.7 YPC. The D dominated but their O was ouch. Davis is healthy too and was good but not great.

That KSU loss was bad. That's gonna hurt them in November.

Not a head scratcher but I think Beau Baldwin has found another quarterback project in Jaden Jones. After a predictably slow start against Fresno State the Cal Poly freshman has made some good plays. Maybe not this year but Cal Poly may have a QB to build around.

Ya, I think CP actually looks pretty good in this game.
Regarding the Weber comment, beating anyone by 40 points is nothing to be critical of IMO. I bet Weber is no slouch this year.
Portland State only down by 7 to San Jose State, half.

The points for Weber wasn't really the head scratcher for me, it was the offensive output.

Portland State lead late against San Jose State but ended up losing 21-17.

Honestly the reason our numbers looked meh was most of our drives started with short fields. 3 WOU interceptions, 3 really nice kick returns and the WOU punter muffing a snap and getting tackled for a huge loss and their punter going down on one knee to grab another bad snap all resulted in extremely short fields for Weber.
The one things that does concern me though is our inability to open up decent running lanes with our Oline.
We are running a new offense this year though and will take time to get used to it.
One thing that has me pumped though is the team speed on defense. Weber hasnt looked this fast for a while.

Yeah I watched some of the game and you guys definitely had nice field position. I was a little surprised by the O line too, and Barron just doesn't impress me. However your D definitely looks good.

Yeah, Barron's play is really hit or miss lately. One game he'll light up a stat sheet and then the next game look like a total noob. Gotta get his spring 2021 confidence back.

I watched most of the Kennesaw/Samford game. Kennesaw seemed to move the ball at will but just couldn’t find a way to finish drives.

Southern Illinois forgot what defense is against UIW today.

I need a report from UNCU's loss to Houston Baptist.
Any clipboards harmed?
How tight were the pants?

Didn't see any sailing. But pants are like the team, full of shi.... Maybe they would be better suited for the WAC. SUU finally got a home win, first in over 1000 days.

Oregon State beat Boise State handily, so unfortunately for us, this is probably not the year we beat an FBS team.

Yep, it doesn't bode well but looking at some other games who knows. The guys will have to be at their best.

Crazy good! Really like what Norvell is doing at FSU, and always glad when an ACC school knocks off an SEC school. And it wasn't a fluke, FSU controlled that game from start to finish. If anything, a fluke play at the end made the score way closer than it ever should have been.
