ESPN is reporting that Northern Colorado has fired Coach Dalton and his entire staff after a 38-31 record & 0-5 in the Big West this season.

WOW!! The poor guy was on the recruiting trail when notified (according to ESPN). An ugly business.........

They went 0-5 in the Great West. Their two year record in the Great West is 2-8.

Does anybody think Northern Colorado might struggle in the Big Sky in 2006? NAU and Sac St. will have a reason to feel better about their own teams.

I am really surprised that he didn't have any idea that he was going to get fired. Usually the coach has a little knowledge that his head is on the chopping block, but this article makes it sound like he had no idea that he was going to get fired. My guess is that UNC isn’t going to win the Big Sky crown in 2006…
