NCAA changing transfer rules

It looks like the NCAA is seriously considering changing the transfer rules, so that players don't have to sit out a year anymore, if they transfer within the same division. That would pretty much mean no more drop down transfers for MSU and all other FCS schools.

That will take a year or two to work out the details, but the new redshirt rule will pass for the 2018 season.

I think you could potentially see high caliber players leaving their non-power 5 teams pretty regularly- big schools would start treating smaller schools like jucos. This rule seems like another move that will strengthen the Power 5 conferences at the cost of all other smaller conferences.

My thought as well. I would hate to see this turn into a situation where top-tier schools poach from middle tier schools, then middle tier schools poach kids from FCS schools. The fcs recruit from D2.

I'm glad that i am not the only person that thinks this is a bad idea. The NCAA has worried me for years
