Jumping up now is not really a smart choice for any school, as it definitely appears there will be a split in the current FBS and waiting will save tons of money, all opinion but it's looking to be true

Reading the article your AD seems to agree. I thought it was interesting because the University of Idaho made the jump and it didn't work out for them. I don't think NDSU has the same situation as they have however.
