It will be interesting to see how their offense does against a tough defense.

I think it will be a matter of whether NDSU thinks it can cover EWUs receiver's, or if they think they need to apply constant pressure to the QB.

I think if they try to sit back and cover EWU, then EWU tears them up for playing their game.

NDSU may have trouble with EWU's receivers, but I also think their defensive front might be good enough to get good pressure without blitzing much. So dropping an extra man into coverage might not cost them.

No way they blow us out, tough challenge to cover their guys, but they have their own problems, like stopping our 4 RB's and mobile QB, against an O-line with B10 size.

We have 2 Pro prospects in the front 7 on D that are fast, doubt EWU has played any team as physical as NDSU.

we heard all the same stuff from Richmond, New Hampshire, Jacksonville St, Illinois St etc...I'm not at all expecting a blowout either way though and no doubt EWU will be tough

Is DeLuca healthy? What's his status? Definitely saw a different defense after he went out of the ucs game. Hope he is good to go, he's a great player.

I have learned to never underestimate EWU, even against the almighty Gods of football NDSU

I agree their defense was a different team without DeLuca, hope he is good to go.

Is this game available on anything other than ESPN3?

Yes Deluca is playing, he hadhis shoulder pop out, went right back in with no damage, will wear a brace.

All the MVFC games are on ESPN3, and for that matter all of the NDSU games are brodcast on ESPN College Xtra, which on DirecTV with the sports pack are channels 789-795 (something in that range)

I dont believe I ever said this, you never underestimate any opponent, it happened to NDSU in 2011,2012, 2015

I will be curious to see if EW will be consistent this year. In recent years they play outstanding one game and seem to have a performance hangover the next game.

NDSU seems to shoot itself in the foot less often, maybe once or twice in a year.

I am thinking NDSU won't be able to cover eastern's receivers as well as they like but will make up the difference with pressure up front.
Will be fun to see how Gubrud handles the pressure.

A moderately improved offense by NDSU since last game should score in the high 30's or better, even in control the clock mode.

If Gubrud and O line play well I think eastern maybe a slight edge. WSU hangover and NDSU going away by two scores.

Will be a fun game with two good teams that have good coaches.

NDSU will run over EWU on nearly every possession. EWU's offense will score, but not enough.

Cooper Kupp left that game in the second half with a shoulder injury. Could be a very costly game for EWU. Would have liked to have seen EWU with the win but thought NDSU would win.

.
It's likely Kupp will miss a few weeks with a shoulder separation.
