CSU vs NDSU FCS opener

Post by luckyirishguy25 » Sat Aug 27, 2016 5:42 pm

It's on ESPN right now, first drive and CSU defense holds to force a punt, they've got some monsters on their D-line that can move!

3 and out NDSU's D looks as good as ever, this looks to be a low scoring affair.

CSU brings out the triple option and makes a 40 yard gain

NDSU manages a drive deep into CSU territory, stalls, and blows a FG wide left.

It is pretty obvious that the Bison are a different team without Wentz. CSU is playing well on the road against a very good defense.

NDSU scores a FG at the end of the half 3-3 tie. Whichever defense lets down first will lose this game.

Agreed, NDSU defense is still potent, but their offense has definitely taken a step back. Looks a few new lineman have some growing pains to endure.

Speed kills NDSU, triple option pitch for a TD 10-3 CSU.

NDSU answers with a TD as CSU defenders drop like flies... NDSU'S star LB is also out. 10-10

With a missed game winning FG, the slugfest goes into OT 17-17.

Ndsu survives in OT. But they certainly don't look unbeatable at home like they normally do.

Yes, really.
Ndsu defense is awesome as always, but they seemed human after DeLuca got hurt. And if CSU could kick a FG, they win.
In Fargo.
Where the bison usually win by 20-30 points, as you know.

just to clarify, Easton Stick last year as a FR won 8 straight games as the starter, Carson only played 1 game in the Championship after Oct when he was hurt in a home loss to South Dakota.

He currently sits 9-0 in his career. CSU was a damn good team and were hyped up and actually had a Defense. We will see this week when we play a totally different style team in EWU
