Hopefully the "friends" that didn't intervene get serious punishment as well.
Great time to be a BOBCAT!

He did an awesome and wonderful thing. I hope he gets the credit and recognition he deserves, and I hope that if any one of us would be in the same situation, we would do the same thing. Nice job, Cristian!

GO CATS!
It's always a good day to be a Bobcat fan!

My name is Steve, if you'd like to know.

+1 as they shouldcatatac wrote:Hopefully the "friends" that didn't intervene get serious punishment as well.
They were, at the very least, accomplices to rape
For that matter, the LB could've potentially been thrown in the the "accomplice" category as a bystander if he did or said nothing about it, based on what he saw. Good to hear he did the right thing.

"He slipped and busted his face on a wall".
That's one of the best things I've read in weeks! I spilled my coffee I was laughing so hard.
Good for this dude. I wish we heard about positive stuff more because it happens way more than the negative.

I completely agree that it is admirable that this guy did the right thing by interrupting a (horrible) crime that was being committed.JDoub wrote:+1 as they shouldcatatac wrote:Hopefully the "friends" that didn't intervene get serious punishment as well.

Having said that - failing to stop a crime that is in progress does not make someone an "accomplice." Not legally, at least...from a moral perspective, it might make one a horrible human being. But if a person's only connection to the crime is that they watched and didn't intervene, I don't think that makes them an accomplice...
I work as an attorney so that I can afford good scotch, which helps me to forget that I work as an attorney.

Milton Friedman addresses the "Freedom not to Act" in his response to a lawyer's excellent question. The scenario is not quite the same, but it's close enough for the point to be pertinent.Grizlaw wrote:I completely agree that it is admirable that this guy did the right thing by interrupting a (horrible) crime that was being committed.JDoub wrote:+1 as they shouldcatatac wrote:Hopefully the "friends" that didn't intervene get serious punishment as well.
