I think John Gagliardi at St. John's (Minnesota) was one of the first to do this. Great concept IMO. I hope the NCAA adopts this.

It sure will be interesting to see how football evolves over time to face this concussion issue. There already seems to be a trend toward parents pushing their kids away from the game, which really could have huge impacts on the sport in a decade or so. Maybe this is a good way to address the issue. Sure it may lead to some poor game execution on the tackling front, but if the trade-off is to legitimately prevent brain injuries, then it's hard to argue against a policy of that kind.
